I think this was blown out of proportions, maybe on purpose to make news about the contest go "viral". I find it interesting to watch even without these extra scandals going on around the event, votes, etc.

Who cares???? like LOL. Europe is becoming weaker and they are losing their global influence. no one cares about wannabe rockstar's on that lame show called Eurovision because Europe has no vision anymore.

The British public could never be accused of taking Eurovision seriously.

It is fun, laugh a minute.

Silly, camper than a row of tents.

Meanwhile, Britain's crushing "nul points" was down to the poor selection process, not bad blood over Brexit, a senior minister insisted Monday.

James Newman scored zero points from both the jury and public vote for his song "Embers" -- in only the second time the country has failed to win any points at all.

This issue here is that UK entry completely missed the point.

If James Newman pranced out in drag singing Ernie (Fastest Milkman in the West), James would have still came last but at least reached single figures.

@ Erik Morales. Disagree totally with your opinion. I don't know where you come from but who are to criticise Europe so badly. Weaker? Lost its influence? No vision? A joke. Are you an economist? Political analyst? Or simply basing your opinions on rumours or fake news?

The UK song was terrible. And that's saying a lot when you listen to what's typically on offer nowadays at Eurovision. Worse than amateur night at a Butlin's holiday camp, except with extra fireworks

I read the article and laughed so hard.

Eurovision bands, I couldn't even name one from any year.

Now great bands from Europe, I can name a dozen present bands and far more past bands.

But my biggest laugh was the idea of anyone could possibly be shocked by the idea of a rock band doing drugs.

I don't support using drugs but let's be honest, it is and has been a big part of the rock scene since long before Eurovision, etc...

But good to see he wasn't, that is better anyway.

Who'd have thought - after the nuclear arms race; territorial disputes; economic competition; Brexit and Covid 19 - its the blinkin Eurovision Song Contest that's starting World War 3? Ha, Ha.

Congratulations Italia (I love Italy and at least its a guitar band).
