I will wait for the 3D version in Dolby Surround 7.1.

Are these the same people who order sushi then ask for a refund when they find out it's raw?

read the flyer morons

I'll wait for the Drive-in theater showing. I could never get that damn speaker to stay on the window anyways.

I wonder if these same geniuses would ask for refunds if they did not like the content/ending etc of a movie.

Some people are just too thick in the head! I can just imagine, all drunk and hey mate lets check out that French film, and what the !"/&%/&!° bloody French movie is silent!! Give me me 2 pounds back or I will call all of me rugby mates and thrash this cinema down.

Well, there are morons everywhere... Complaint #1: "I paid for a movie WITH sound.. Why can't I hear anything?"...

Complaint #2:

"After seeing this movie, I got worried and visited the audiologist, costing me USD 500, just to find out that I am healthy... I am suing EVERYBODY AND THEIR GRANDMOTHERS for this."

BTW - can't wait to see "The Artist" myself... anyone knows when it will run in Japan?

As soon as they have finished the Japanese subtitles.

Editors,

"The cinema is happy to offer guests a refund on their film choice is they raise concern with a member of staff within 10 minutes of the film starting."

I silently believe you are missing an 'f' in this sentence. Perhaps instead of the 's' in 'film choice is they raise'. Just a thought. (The first 's'.)

They should have been grateful a French film was Silent, it could have been much worse, the actors could have been speaking French.

I am embarrassed these shell-suited oxygen thieves share the same nationality as me. It has been splashed all over the media recently about this SILENT film winning awards at the Golden Globes ego stroking event. Maybe if they took their eyes away from their mobile phones and stopped sending pointless "Wot iz U doin now" messages to Sharon and Duane they might read a newspaper and learn something about what is happening in the real world and not just in their parallel universe. Rant over, back to my Superman comics.

I have to agree at this point (although I would like to believe that not all Liverpudlians are morons - the same cannot be said of the ones wearing shell-suits).

On the plus side, at least we know that Liverpool will never be bereft of village idiots.

"several cinemagoers"- how is this even news? Or are we just picking on people from one area/ city/country because if "a small number" of people from there are stupid then they all must be? Please don't let facts get in the way of any supercilious rants, though.

ExportExpert - I now count the French alongside the English, Aussies, Germans, and pretty much any Asian country for which you've professed a hatred for in the last few months. Are there any acceptable nations besides N.Z. that escape your xenophobia?

Send them a couple cases of alcohol-free beer, tell em to drown their sorrows.

@Andrew Matthews I am sure there are thousands of Liverpudlians rolling on the floor with laughter at this. Probably Widnes "Wooley backs" up into the bright lights to see the film. My comments were a little "tongue in the cheek" except, of course, the feeling of embarrassment. :)

@Hategobo - Yeah _ I'm from Bristol, I am sorry to say you might be able to insert almost any city in the headline... But I refuse to back down on my comment about the shell-suits....

@Andrew Matthews. Bristol kid too, Bedminster

What? Scousers trying to get something for nothing? Surely not...

The cinema owners should just be grateful not all the seats were stolen at once.

I'm speechless!

:) - that is funny!

Since most Brits don't speak French well (or at all), even if there had been sound, most would not understand what was being said. Had there actually been sound, and dialogue in French (let's assume there would be subtitles), I wonder if the same cinema goers would still claim a refund.

Incredibly daft, but the major disappointment is the cinema actually yielding and giving refunds.

@Hategobo - Lawrence Weston... I'll be staying visiting the UK and staying near Bedminster next month - I'll say Hi! for you. But I probably won't watch The Artist there. Somebody would probably think that due to my accent I'm an American and try and sell me special earphones to listen to it in 3D...

Oh God...This is why most of the time, I hate being British. Because half of the British population are idiots at the majority of times. >.< Although, at most cinemas - there are no flyers or anything to do with the film (well...they don't at my local cinema anyway) - I do suggest people do research the kind of film they plan to watch before the watch it!!! It's like when I went to watch the new Sherlock Holmes film last week, I did at least do a tiny bit of research on what film it's set out to be. It's kind of like watching a horror film when you're terrified of horrors.
