I have watched many of their TV game show but I never listen to their music because I though it will be similar to the SMAP. I don't like SMAP and also I don't like Boy band group either. So I don't try to listen ARASHI Band but I'll try it now.

Little wonder all five look a tad under the weather.

It's because they are old. I'm old and they are way older than me.

These idols are in a state of flux, the pandemic has seen to that, revenue has been cut off, no hands shake.

So, leverage earnings. for Johnny & Associates, were counting on a continued revenue stream from an “Arashi Olympics” windfall.

So fans are left with a collaboration with Bruno Mars on their first all-English single.

Little wonder all five look a tad under the weather.

These guys are old and yet still act like 14 year old kids.

The members of Arashi were contractually hamstrung decades ago, all five only need to take reference from SMAP, both idol groups are contractually wedded to the same toxic company.

Why can't Japan let go of dinosaurs? This band is almost as old as Backstreet Boys and NSync. In Korea, there's a new band almost every year and they all look fresh.

The five member of, Sho Sakurai, Jun Matsumoto, Satoshi Ohno, Masaki Aiba and Kazunari Ninomiya, are in many respects victims of there own, Jimusho/management company's rapacity.

One crucial difference between Japan, US, European entertainment industry is Japanese Jimusho system and the manner in which J entertainment management companies, in Arashi case Johnny & Associates, structure the contractual relationship, Johnny's stipulates all five members are salaried employees.

So in effect all five members of Arshi have foregone all image rights, fees, copyrights, royalties, publishing, in fact all outside, and any other future income.

It is accepted and understood that most, if not all so called celebrities and stars will not attain even 5 to 10 percent of there income potential.

An English ‘surprise’ ?

What could that be?

Japanese pop sensation Arashi has a big surprise for fans as they near their planned hiatus

It's not a hiatus, they're splitting up for good.

They're a 'band'????!!!!

A “boy band.”

bands don’t have to play instruments. A band is just a word for a group of people who do stuff together.

Like “Band of Brothers” “Robin Hood and his Band of Merry Men.”

Japanese pop sensation Arashi

Whoa, Japanese pop sensation going to take the world by storm.

Their greatest hits album “5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019″ sold 3.3 million copies and was last year's bestselling album worldwide, surpassing both BTS and Taylor Swift.

Best selling worldwide but most of the sales was in Japan. Are downloads included in the count?the rest of the world has moved to downloading while in Japan physical record shops and rentals are still reining.

they don’t impress me. these groups they all look / sound the same. the number 41 million ( according to their label ) comes from their Japanese fans and weeboes of the world. they’re called “legends” because they’re doing this for 20 years. let’s be honest, outside of Japan, nobody knows who they are.

I’m sure they’ll be truly well and sad once they read your review, and promptly quit show business out of their shame of irrelevance.

15 years too late ... why only now with the English language music release ... BoA, Crystal Kay, Arumi Hamasaki, so many of their generation have done it already ....

Hopefully not a duet. If you have ever seen or heard a duet between Western and Japanese pop artists, like they sometimes have on the variety shows they host, cringe worthy is to mild a term for it.

Sounds equally as awful in any language

Why English?? Why not other language??

You'd almost think English was the common tongue spoken around the world or something.

I see your BTS and raise you an Arashi. Also smart move, release an English single, go on break, come back with an international regional tour.

I wonder if they saw how BTS has taken the English speaking world by storm, no pun intended, and thought let's get in on that action before we hang it up!
