Rest In Peace MJ

The first half of this documentary was broadcast in the UK this evening. It's very grim stuff, and Wade and James are very credible. Before and during the broadcast Jackson fans took to social media en masse and organised, most of their posts comprised of victim blaming and mocking and threatening anyone involved in the documentary or sympathised with victims of abuse. Disgusting.

Jackson uber fans are deluded. At the very least, there was something deeply odd about kids sleeping over/sharing a bed with a grown man.

Never underestimate the power of denial. Learn the painful lessons , even if they are confronting.

The best way for most people to believe the accusations is if the floodgates open and many accusers come out. Up until the documentary on R. Kelly came out, he had only a few accusers that the public just downplayed and called them "gold diggers." Now with many accusers, people and the police start taking the accusations seriously.

Death threats all round.  He should do a Thriller and come back to torment his accusers.  and a few more kids.

I am fortunate in that I am neither a Michael Jackson fan nor a Michael Jackson hater. I can thus be completely objective and not let my emotions get in the way.

And I believe he did do what he's accused of.

Pedo sympathizers, thats all

It looks like that, yes. It's a shame because those kids grew up traumatised and so many saw Jackson as some kind of pop messiah. There's no doubt that his legacy, at least, is forever damaged but even then, like the monster Cardina Pell, he will still have his supporters.

The hysterical fandom or loyalty for these men who destroy children's lies is quite something to behold in terms of sheer awfulness. These men who take advantage of young people don't deserve any adulation.

I'm not sure how sexual harassment claims should be handled but dismissing them seems like the wrong choice. Unfortunately, some very powerful people can get away with it (Kavanaugh for one). M.J. was a great musician and dancer. He was also a pedo. Even fan's should be able to recognize that.

Listening to the two men describe Jackson’s grooming made it quite shocking....

His Jacksons output, Off the Wall and Thriller are exceptional moments in pop.

But I have to admit, I'm finding it difficult to stomach his music, more and more. Because of the decades old abuse stories that just won't go away.

Jackson was clearly very skilled at grooming the kids to lie, and showering them with love, affection, gifts, and money...

This is what child molesters do, it’s a “special secret not to ever be told, because no one will understand our very special friendship.”

The “ranch” with its kid-themes, candy and rides, was in effect a seductive “bachelor pad” for a pedophile to impress his sexual prey.

Really sick stuff.

There was a video of an interview of that kid (Ariza?) who spoke emotionally of how Michael “masturbated him with his hand and with his mouth.” That was real. No coaching by avaricious parents can produce that imho.

Wade and James both saw themselves as soldiers fighting on Michael’s behalf until they realized they do not want to live with the lies. James says he still feels guilty for betraying Michael for appearing in Leaving Neverland.

Wakarimasen:

Coming back to torment is less thriller and more Freddy Kruger...both 80s though...even Mj's zombie version looked more real than his later deformed look (not talking about the bleaching), the facial structure went...

Deadforgood:

We should be able to separate the music from the man. People don't listen to queen cuz they're gy, people don't listen to mj cuz they're pedo, etc. People just like the music

The problem is, if you stream or purchase Jackson's music now you are giving money to his estate and, maybe, to people close to him who helped enable/cover up the abuse.

The only observation I'll make, is a super fan, a super political fan, a church defender...

Perhaps we should be able to separate good from bad in someones, or an organizations actions to a degree, but if people refuse to even accept there may be any issues with their favorite thing... well there is no where to go with it...

The guy was what he was. Just deal with it already.

How can anyone know what really went on at Neverland?

It's his accusers words against a dead man who cannot defend himself. While the testimony of the alleged victims may be very convincing and sad, if true, making a firm judgement of guilt is not fair in the absence of hard evidence.

Very convenient that they come forward now when MJ is dead and cant defend himself.
