James Woods suggests his agent dropped him over politics

Anyone who knew the difference between right and wrong could not possibly support the lying and corruption of the party of Clinton and Obama and the Hitlerian Maxine Waters calling for violence against anyone who disagrees with her. Hooray for Woods and a hope that the day will come when the fascists like this agent will all be boycotted out of this or any industry. Just fed up with the lies and hate.

It's no secret that most of the world (excluding Russia) has lost confidence in U.S. leadership due to Trump [1]. Many view him as a danger to humanity.

Those Branch Donaldians (such as James Woods and Russian bots) who so blindly defend his indefensible crimes against the world, incites anyone with a moral compass to do the right thing and take a stand. Several notable Republicans have also turned against Trump.  Cheers to Ken Kaplan for doing the right thing.

This is not about free speech. It is about knowing the difference between right and wrong.

He should work overseas. I could see him playing a particularly nasty type in one of those outback Australian horror movies we do here ;) Or maybe on the side of the law. That would be awesome actually.

What's with the talk about free speech? The agent never told him to shut up. James Woods is of course free to have his own opinions and say them, but the agent is also free to not agree and not wanting to work with someone like that.

Nothing to do with free speech. An agent can drop a client at any time and for any (or no) reason. Depending on contract provisions of course. Woods was the one to then try to make political capital out of it.

As a full time Entertainment Professional in NYC with right-leaning views, I have become isolated, and live in fear of relaying my opinions to anyone in my professional circle due to the treat of loosing work.

To some degree, it feels like a sort of reverse McCarthyism.

I respect and admire the Left’s passion and incredible call to arms, but I feel as though I must remain silent if I ‘ever want to work in this town again’.

I hope that some members on the Left come to Jame’s defense.

Gersh is powerful, but there are plenty more fish in the sea. Do any of them have the balls to pick Woods up after this? Time will tell.

Typical of the left supporter's of free speech, unless they disagree with what's being said, then it's burn them all.

Hollywood loves free speech... as long as you follow their prevailing narrative. Lucky for Woods he's probably got enough money to tell Hollywood to get lost.

But how many younger, up-and-coming people in the industry with right-leaning views have to keep their heads down if they want to get ahead in the entertainment biz?
