She would have been happier if she had married at 21 and been a housewife avoiding the fame and hedonistic lifestyle.

The suggestion that a marriage at 21 with the perspective of being a housewife would have given a happier life is hilarious :)

She starred in that B-grade sci-fy thriller 'Barbarella' in which she's an agent searching for a fugitive scientist named Duran Duran? I grew up with that band and I love their music. She'd probably like to forget 'Barbarella' because it's so cheap (I've seen it) and she probably thinks she's 'moved on' to more serious work. But there's that popular British band to remind her! Hahaha...oh the careless memories! Look out, look out, look out....!

(**CORRECTION***)

She starred in that B-grade sci-fy thriller 'Barbarella' in which she's an agent searching for a fugitive scientist named Duran Duran. That's right.  I grew up with that band and I love their music. She'd probably like to forget 'Barbarella' because it's so cheap (I've seen it) and she probably thinks she's 'moved on' to more serious work. But there's that popular British band to remind her of those days! Duran Duran.  Hahaha...oh the careless memories! Look out, look out, look out....!.

Yep. While sharing laughs with the North Vietnamese soldiers she was introduced to some US POWs. When one slipped her a note she handed it straight to a north Vietnamese guard. Then yukked it up playfully on the anti-aircraft gun.

I'll skip.

It's why they call her Hanoi Jane.

I would like to call her something else, but I will be polite.

Great actor and unmissable in Grace and Frankie.

And a very brave activist, too. To speak out against the the mass murdering American forces in Vietnam was a strong stance to take for the time.

Should have been given a medal, standing up to those filth.

Looking great at 80!

Enjoyed 9-5.

Enjoyed 9-5.

I didn't. It could've been a terrific film but the first half blew it for me. You don't get these kooky dreams after smoking a joint. That's where the movie got too dumb for me. Still, Dabney Coleman did a good job of playing that jerk boss.

Toasted Heretic, hardly. She was simply swinging with the times. She always has.

JapanFanSep. 24 02:50 pm JSTI would like to call her something else, but I will be polite.

You want to hound her about her past, go outside her house and blare out some Duran Duran music!

It's why they call her Hanoi Jane.

Literally nobody outside of the ageing American conservative demographic calls her that.
