I'm already excited.

Writers really need to start writing some new material and Hollywood needs to stop recycling. It's not global warming.

The reboot last year bombed because they put feminist, woke nonsense in it. They appear to have learned their lesson.

I don't recall any feminist/woke stuff in it. It was superior to Ghostbusters 2, which wasn't too difficult.

It just didn't work because the script and movie was average. The people want a bit more than average, doesn't matter what the genders were.

As for Hollywood recycling, it's done that since the very start. If it works, fine. Any of ye remember The Ghostbusters back in the 70s?

Let dead ghosts stay DEAD I say!

Some things are better left alone. Loved the original GB, the sequel was pretty lame, the all-female reboot was horrible.

Dunno. Might turn out OK, but most of the time, these things are a disaster.

Harold Ramis, who played one of the three original Ghostbusters had died, but if the other two, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are in this, it might just work. Who ya gonna call? Bill and Dan!

I don't usually buy into much of the 'feminist agenda' stuff in movies. For instance, I hated The Last Jedi because I thought the story was terrible. I didn't care about which characters were female.

But I have to argue that in the 2016 Ghostbusters all the male characters were evil and/or incredibly, unrealistically stupid, (Hemsworth covering his eyes to not hear something??) while the only intelligent characters were the female Ghostbusters. Even my girlfriend pointed this fact out last night when I showed her the new teaser and she hoped it was better than this one. I think it's hard to argue that there wasn't at least a little bit of 'girl power' feminism injected into the film which put off a huge chunk of the fans they were trying to attract.

In my opinion, Ghostbusters 2 was nowhere near as good as the original, but I would watch it in a heartbeat before watching the reboot again.

No! Give it a rest. Forever.

The feminist Ghostbusters crap was just the absolute worst, absolute! But I agree, I think the movie execs learned a hard lesson, don’t sell out to the #metoo movement to show off and to say you’re hip, Gillette is now paying a price for that too. Can’t wait for the sequel, as long as they leave PC and identity politics out of it, it just might turn out t be a funny movie.

Or Ernie Hudson. People seem to have forgotten about Winston...

I watched both the original and the reboot recently and I can't for the life of me see this PC/Idpol that some people keep mentioning.

I was surprised at what a sleaze and sex pest the Peter Venkman character is, though, in the former. Not knocking Bill Murray, who was and is awesome, but some parts of the film have not aged well.
