Mr Kipling
Marrying a 12 year old and having several wives...... Was he a Muslim? or was this usual in the American south at that time?
OnTheTrail
Not usual, which is why it killed his career.

Must admit I didn’t know he was still alive. Probably more famous for marrying a 12 year old cousin than his music.

Featured in the latest "Top Gun". I hope his family receives their fair share of the royalties.

Life lived LARGE... and nobody faults einstein for abandoning his wife and children and marrying his first cousin on one side and second cousin on the other having lusted after her from childhood.

Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will
But what a thrill
Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!♪"

I doubt they were 13 years old.

Rock LEGEND. RIP!
Mr Kipling
Rock LEGEND. Incestuous PEDO... But it was different in those days...

Elvis wasn't drafted. He volunteered.
Jerry Lee Lewis was the essence of rock 'n roll. Marrying his cousin, 12 or 13 at that, and not giving a duck. He blazed hard while he could. RIP to the The Killer.

In "those days" it was still legal to marry your first cousin and to marry a child.

The essence of rock 'n' roll has nothing to do with pedophilia. Having sex with kids goes way beyond a rebellious attitude.

JLL was a flamboyant wild man who made rock'n'roll what it should be - entertaining, alive and fun. As it should be. He inspired so many others with his antics and showmanship and kept rock 'n' roll from falling too much into the hands of the greaseball milquetoast dummies who (supposedly) invented it.
That's what matters the most. RIP KILLER. You were a foundation, a rock for the ROCK.
