I look forward to watching this film. I liked Joaquin in "Walk The Line" as well.

Who'd have thought Conrad Veidt would have inspired such a character and such an infamous one, too.
Looking fwd to the latest incarnation, hopefully it won't lead to any overly-excited types trying to emulate cinema's notorious dark icon.
Phoenix is an excellent actor, he's one of those masters at his craft. I'll pretty much watch anything he's in.

Well, that was dark. I'd say Phoenix will be up for an Oscar for his portrayal - and it's certainly the least showiest incarnation of the clown prince yet.
Yeah, there's Taxi Driver and King of Comedy in there but I see a bit of Falling Down, as well.
I was interested to see the anti-elitist protests but felt the director was sending up protesters a bit. Mind you, the rich don't come out of it looking great, either.
