Popular Johnny's idol Tomohisa Yamashita, 23, was mobbed by fans at Kimpo Airport in South Korea on April 6 when he was in the departure terminal.

According to an observer, Yamashita was privately visiting the country with his friends. When some local fans found him, they grabbed his hair and clothes. There were about 1,000 fans and local media waiting at the airport but Yamashita didn't have his manager and security personnel, the source said.

That's too cool. Same things happen to Korean idols that visit Japan. Nice cultural exchanges!

I heard that his bag was stolen by someone in the crowd. I imagine a lot of people will have to change their email addresses and phone numbers if his phone was in it. They also never said if the fans were all Korean, or if there were a fair amount of Japanese fans mixed in.
