Singer JUJU, actress Saki Fukuda and comedy duo Harisenbon (Haruna Kondo and Haruka Minowa), got into the holiday spirit at the Japan premiere of "Disney's A Christmas Carol" this week at Roppongi Hills Arena.
JUJU stood in front of a giant 10-meter-tall tree and sang "Ikutsu Demo Kawareru Kikkake ni Nareba" and the movie's theme song, "Present."
Harisenbon's Haruka told the singer that she would be spending Christmas with a man, to which JUJU replied "I wish I had that kind of luck."
The singer finished up by singing "Morobito Kozorite" with a 1,000-member choir.
"Disney's A Christmas Carol" opens in Japan on Saturday.

Plastic trees are good man, reusable too. Had the same minature tree for 4 years now, same materials and decorations too. The wife and me don't have that much money, but I like seeing her face light up when I get her a gift.

Well if you don't mind married men who've faired badly in the recession I just may be able to fit you in.

Christmas, holiday and sleep in. Never like turkey, too big and tasteless. Prefer fried chicken anytime over turkey. Of course, my wife will cook the turkey as usual and I will only eat the thighs until she uses the left over for some other dishes like fried rice, etc.

I think Christmas is a bunch a bullcrap anyway. Let's cut down a symbol (the evergreen tree) of everlasting life (your spirit) killing it. Then after you have symbolically destroyed your soul, let's put a bunch of bling on it and spread a lot of materialistic garbage around it. A ritual of how consumerism sucks the soul right out of you. Bah humbug!

Good question. I suspect restaurants first saw the opportunity to create a "Christmas Dinner", and that evolved into bigger dinners, with gifts, and then romantic hotel packages.
Maybe some of the very old timers could explain it.

I am out of the country for christmas and thank god. I hate christmas here with kentucky fried chicken being pushed or those scrawny chickens the rip people off on.
