Television personality Jun Komori, 25, and her clothing company owner husband Ryo Imai, 26, finally held their wedding reception this week. The couple, who handed in their marriage papers back in July, held a lavish ceremony in Chinzanso in Mejiro, attended by 600 guests as well as members of the press.
"As I was walking down the aisle, my dad stood on my dress and I couldn't move. I whispered 'You're on my dress' and did my best to keep smiling and not to cry," Komori, who wore a 100-million yen tiara and 70-million yen necklace, told reporters.
Komori said she intends to try to cook and be a good housewife. As for children, she said they would wait two or three years before starting a family.

wow. that's a lot of money ! Hopefully they won't get the divorce paper signed soon. I'm sure there're many Japanese women out there would be aiming for that man too...lol

100 million yen dress?! stupidity knows no bounds in this country...

What is with modern women nowdays? I have yet to see one, who knows how to hold a real frying pan, instead of mass planting food pictures to Ameba.

If I could afford a 100 million yen dress and a 70 million yen necklace, I'd hire a full-time housekeeper, never mind 'trying to cook and be a good housewife.' Think I'd probably get a better hairdresser, too.
Still, congratulations to the young couple.

"...100-million yen dress and 70-million yen necklace,..."
How do you know they paid for these things?
cleo
paulinusa - they probably hired them for the day. The hire cost would still be pretty high for the dress hire people to break even - can't see many people paying out that much, especially for a wedding dress trimmed in black.

I'm happy for them, that they had the wedding day they wanted, make their folks happy. And i agree with Cleo about some help in!

The dress and jewelry were obviousely rented, the wedding would pay for itself since guests pay out enormous amounts of money-gifts at Japanese weddings and I am sure the couple would have lots left over to put into their savings account. Very smart couple indeed, waiting a few years before they have kids! Unlike these stupid girls who get pregnant first then get married! I hope Jun and her new husband set an example for other couples! Congratulations to them both and I wish them every happiness!

Anna Louise, unfortunately this is not true. Even if you're stingy and cut down on quality and stuff, still you will get only about half of your money back. I will get about 1/5, because I want the quests to enjoy it. I don't know about the standards for these "talento", but a rental dress is about 0.2-0.5 mil, with fancy ones around 1 mil. And that black belt is horrible, IMHO

And the big news in this article....(Brace yourselves)
Spoiler alert - It's really stupid.....
“As I was walking down the aisle, my dad stood on my dress and I couldn’t move. I whispered ‘You’re on my dress’ and did my best to keep smiling and not to cry,” Komori, who wore a 100-million yen dress and 70-million yen necklace, told reporters.
No comment from Dad yet on how good it felt to wipe the cr@p off the bottom of his shoes on a 100-million yen dress...

JT, the tiara on her head was 100 million yen, and it was a rental. She designed the dress herself.
Moderator: It has been corrected. Thank you.

Too much money not enough sense, they could have had the wedding party down at the local hub for 100,000.
Damn silly people with too much money. Whats the old saying about a fool and his money will soon be parted !
