Popular Korean all-girl group KARA will release their new album, "Super Girl," in Japan on Nov 23.

The group said in a statement that the album's theme is "hoping to become a super girl who can give love, dream, hope, cheer and bravery." The cover will show the girls wearing "passionate red" costumes.

The album includes "Jet Coaster Love," which reached the No. 1 spot on Oricon's weekly chart, and the group's newest song, "Winter Magic," which was released on Oct 19.

The album includes “Roller Coaster Love,” which reached the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s weekly chart

The song's name is "Jet Coaster Love", not "Roller Coaster Love".

Moderator: Thanks for pointing that out. It has been corrected.

These girls are pretty hot. Their video STEP was such a huge YouTube event. Although they are quite small they know how to strut their stuff. They can dance like it's nobody's business.

KARA is 10 times better than AKB48 and clearly more contemporary in style. KARA = music for adults AKB48 = music for infantile pedophiles and adolescent boys and men.

AWESOME! That means we will be seeing them doing their thing on TV again.

I dont care about the music, just need more pics heh

NetNinja: Most Korean artists can dance and sing FAR better than their Japanese counter-parts. While both are basically just company assembled bands, at least the Korean singers actually have some talent.

@netninja

i totally agree with most of what you said except for the "music for adults part." i'm not sure how adult the theme of "jet coaster love" is.

but yeah, they are way better than akb-48.

Take an opportunity to check out some professional dancers one day - not just gyrators.

KARA = music for adults.

No - Adults dont buy music like this (for their children maybe)

Cool. I love Kara.

Manufatured pop - yes. But they CAN sing, the CAN dance and, most importantly... they are SMOKIN' HOT!!

I wish she called it "Girl Power".

The poses for this cover are practically identical to Queen's Sheer Heart Attack album. As for the musical talent . . .

It's a sad day for pop culture when the point of comparison is AKB48.

I like these broads (KARA) just for the butt shake and nothing else. The average age of AKB 48 is 18.4 as of Dec. 2010.

The aimings of both bands are different. AKB48 is a "see them grow and turn professional" band, where you can see them training and becoming more experienced, from their first 10k album to their current million sellers. KARA, just like any other Korean group, is about the finished product, after being trained for years underground, they are released once they are ready. So, it is understandable that Korean groups look more polished. However, it also limits their improvement, one can appreciate how much AKB48 improved since their very first single, Aitakatta, to their current one.

By the way, @NetNinja, let's not dig deeper into the K-Pop scene. It is said that most, if not all, Korean groups owe quite a lot of money to their agencies, which usually includes sexual favours in order to being chosen as members. Jang Ja-yeon was just the visible tip of something that is very common in the Korea industry.

It would be very sad for the industry if the Korean model becomes the standard. It would mean the pseudo-legalization of prostitution and raping as a means.

This is pretty much an open secret in the Korean entertainment industry. These Korean singers and actresses, to get their break, have to go through the industry-wide practice of the casting couch. In Jang Ja-Yeon's case, in the seven-page note she wrote before her March 2009 suicide, the 27-year-old TV sitcom regular described how her manager forced her to have sex with industry VIPs such as directors, media executives and CEOs. I wouldn't be surprised if each and every member of KARA had to sleep with some recording executive to have been chosen among thousands of hopefuls.

Totally agree. This practice is so entrenched in their culture that the many women are forced to accept just to make it in Korean entertainment. That's why I don't support this so-called hallyu. By supporting these Korean artists, people are indirectly feeding this cycle of abuse that will continue as long as these powerful entertainment companies and their practices go unchecked. Something for you guys to think about before you drool over some surgically altered K-pop 'beauties'.

The last Korean wave with those people from Winter Sonata and BOA lasted quite a few years. I'm kinda hoping, this time, this wave breaks early.

Well, that explains all the suicides then. Or some of them. Sordid sordid sordid. There was also a recent problem with a beauty pageant in S Kor where the non-Korean participants didn't know the 'rules of the game' and declined to go along with them.
