Ms. Bush is an enigmatic talent with a stunning voice and creativity that broke new ground in the 80's. Glad to see her once again take to the stage. Now, where to find video of this performance?

Definitely iconic and definitely underrated. Bush was an innovator and NOT a follower of the typical top 40 crap that permeated the radio waves and her music still today has proven to withstand the test of time. Great lyrics, great voice and a funky bass player. Wish I could see her, I'd pay big bucks to see this legend! Glad to see she's back!

I'll be at the concert next week!! Been a fan since she first appeared on Top of the Pops singing Wuthering Heights. Couldn't believe it when I got through to buy tickets on my iPad. Was in Shinjuku frantically entering my cc details at Yoshinoya lol! Lost the figure (haven't we all), but apparently her voice is still mesmerizing. Can't wait!

National treasure. Remember my dad having a dad-crush on her, and trying to persuade me to do my hair like hers!

I'm proud to say that I bought her first five vinyl albums back in the '80s---and they're still in pristine condition.

I couldn't get a ticket. My friend did go last night, he's still overwhelmed by her and the show. But yet again JT gets in wrong. She didn't do Oh, England My Lionheart, Babooshka or The Man With the Child in his Eyes. She didn't do anything from her first four albums.

But yet again JT gets in wrong.

If you look at the bottom of the story, it actually comes from Agence France-Presse.

I'm assuredly not a fan, but that's a side-issue. The week she reached no. 1 in 1978, she shared the Top 40 with the Stranglers, Bob Marley, the Clash, Gerry Rafferty, Tom Robinson, Nick Lowe, and the Jam, so you know, it's not like it was all frothy commercial crap. Or unoriginal. That's a tiny sample of some what was going on in 1978. We had music to burn back then.

I even left out a bunch of names based on my own dislike of their music, or of their particular song that week, but they all get a lot of respect now for what they achieved then: Wings, Abba, Donna Summer, Blondie, Hot Chocolate, Earth Wind and Fire, ELO, Rod Stewart.

Who is Kate Bush?

Perhaps this will help.

@wipeout - kate was in the #1 spot in the UK charts at age 19 performing a song she had written when she was 16. She was the first female vocalist to hit #1 in UK with self-written music. You may not like her, but her art is genius and extremely unique. Bob Marley wrote some nice tunes but the foundation for his music emerged in the 60s when he was a guest singer for the likes of the Skatalites.
