Keiko Kitagawa hawks beer in TV ads for first time

Actress Keiko Kitagawa, 24, will be appearing in a TV commercial for Asahi's latest "happoshu" low-malt, low-tax beer. It is the first time she will appear in a commercial for an alcoholic beverage. "I tend to take it easy with a beer at home, rather than have wild nights out," she said.

The commercials, which are scheduled to be broadcast from Sept 14, will give viewers a glimpse of Kitagawa's private life as she relaxes at home with her "boyfriend" and enjoys a drink. "Sharing a drink with friends and partners, your loved ones, is one of the best ways to really deepen your relationships, I think."

Maybe if enough of us pool our money we can put out a contract on her "boyfriend" and her and the beeru to ourselves.

I tend to have wild nights out, rather than take it easy at home!

But whatever floats your boat (and keeps you adrift)...

less talk of boyfriend

It's ok, he's just a "boyfriend," meaning you and I and the rest of the neighbourhood can have a go.

wow! for the "first time" in her long and experienced 24 years of life.

Drink alcohol to "deepen your relationships". Can't talk about anything meaningful unless we're drunk.

not beer...happoshu...big difference...why happoshu exists..not sure.

As indicated by most here, mentioning your boyfriend just killed half of the sales from this advertising pitch. Maybe it was focusing on the women of Japan that drink BEER, NOT!

just a boyfriend, free game until she is married!! I am sending her a case of beers as a start.

Hang in there Keiko. After a few years you may just make it to the big leagues of beer and appear in Kirin beer commercials. Oh well, gotta start somewhere and I suppose you can't get much lower than Asahi Happoshu.

Forget the beer, I`ll take Keiko instead.

Drugs and girls and the promise of a good time. I think it's time for a new campaign; one similar to the tobacco industry with pictures of lung cancer on the cigarette packs.

Let's start by taking one of the numerous pictures of drunk salaryman sitting in their own piss and put the punch line "makes you forget your hardships at your miserable job" on top.

This just opens the door for me to have her all to myself once they cart your a$$ off to jail.

Why is the name of the product not listed? The video can be found here : http://www.asahibeer.co.jp/products/beer/kutsurogi-4vg/

She's only 24. That "boyfriend" will be history soon, I guarantee.

Why is "boyfriend" in quotations? Is there something she's hiding?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Wish I was her "boyfriend"

Sarge, don't forget the very exciting activity involved too...Let's Facelift bar! Sounds almost as fun as staying at home with crappy imitation beer!

Maybe "boyfriend" is in quotes because it's a puppy. Let's go! I'm first.

When I saw her in Buzzer Beat, she was like every "boyfriends" dream, but when I saw her in the next drama with KimuTaku she became every "boyfriends" nightmare; could barely sit through the first episode.

She can enjoy a drink with me whenever she wants!
