More violence on film. Ho hum.

South Korea and Japan have contributed immensely to what we get to watch on screen. Well done.

ジョージToday  07:02 am JST “ This was pretty enjoyable though a bit strange. I thought from the trailer that it would be a hardboiled action thriller, though it ended up not being super action packed (maybe three set pieces and a fight that reminded me of Robert Downey Jr’s predictive battling as Sherlock Holmes). Actually turned out to be more of a black comedy and domestic drama at first, with the tone shifting to something darker about halfway through. “A Company Man” (2012) also had a contract killer trying for some semblance of a normal life, though that film was leaner and, for me, gelled a bit better. “

Some people were saying that this is a combination of John Wick and Tarantino but I guess they were exaggerating/overreacting…; I was(!) interested in this but from what I’ve been hearing, it’s not that good…; I think I’ll just skip it and watch the other stuff I have on my list…; I’ve been busy lately and I don’t wanna waste my time with mediocre movies…; thank you for your review and for sharing your thoughts with us.

Tarantino? I don’t quite see it.

A global audience that likes Kdrama the way it is. So hopefully Netflix won't ruin it. They already have with some series, ruining the endings, adding a cliffhanger for a non-existent next series, killing the cathartic hit you traditionally get at the end. Kdrama doesn't need to be Americanised. We like it because it isn't like US drama.

"I'm not a killer by profession,

Should she be acting something she is not? I thought current thinking is that only trans can act trans, only gay can act gay, only (fill in) can act etc.
