Renowned enka singer Kiyoshi Hikawa, 32, held his annual special Christmas performance Monday, "Kiyoshi Kono Yoru Vol 9," at Tokyo International Forum, holding two afternoon and evening shows that attracted a total of 10,000 fans.

Dressed in traditional Japanese garb, Hikawa performed "Ryokyoku Ichidai" before transforming into Christmas mode to belt out "Santa ga Machi ni Yatte Kuru" in front of eight female Santa dancers. He then moved into Latin mode and winter mode, wowing audiences with a total of 11 costume changes. Rumor has it the singer had felt a little under the weather, but he didn't fail to excite the audience into a feverish pitch.

11 costume changes in what? 60-75 minutes? He was dressing more than he was singing, then? Good for the fans and I'm sure they enjoyed it. I'm sure if Led Zeppelin had changed clothes 11 times instead of giving 3-4 hour concerts, the fans would have enjoyed it much more? Or am I just being an old f*rt?
