Popular women's fashion magazine model Sumire, who died last Saturday of a brain hemorrhage, was mourned Monday by fans and by fellow model Eri Momoka, 27, who expressed her condolences to Sumire on her radio program titled “Momoeri Time.”
Sumire and Momoka were regular models for Koakuma Ageha magazine. “We used to talk a lot at photo shoots, and I haven't been able to come to terms with it all yet,” Momoka said during the recording of her radio program at the Ameba Studio in Harajuku.
A spokesperson for Sumire's agency said Monday that the model seemed to be in high spirits recently, although she wrote on her blog last week that she was having headaches and felt like she had no energy at times.

maybe not the time to mention it,but it would appear that if she did go to the doc for the headaches etc she was complaining about,then there is a high poss of claim for mis diagnosis here

If she'd have gone promptly to a hospital,had it checked out, and rested, she'd probably be here today. I know too many people in Japan who feel that work is more important than health. Crazy.

Sad that someone lost their life like this, but I have to question what some of your reactions would be if she wasn't a young, pretty model. If she was a plain looking, overworked middle aged woman it wouldn't be news, right? And you certainly wouldn't be expressing such depth of emotion over it, would you...?

Just goes to show what can happen, can happen at some really unfortunate points in time. It really is a message that we all need to get out and enjoy ourselves a little more and hopefully do something meaningful in lives before our time is up.

Just FYI this can only happen - random or not - to someone who's suffered repeated blunt trauma to the head. It's no surprise that boxers and wrestlers get this, and it can happen weeks or even months after trauma because it's an indirect reaction. The treatment is to drill a hole in the skull to relieve the fluid pressure.

I took this info from http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/1-2-2005-63664.asp these are just a few of the reasons you can find with a quick search, as well as many alternate treatment methods such as Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Microsurgical Techniques which involve removing the spilt blood and stitching up the ruptured artery. There was no mention of drilling holes in the head. I believe that was a surgical technique used to let the demons out of someone a few centuries ago.
