Oiran were high class rich prostitutes. Koda Kumi doesn't have a clue what she is trying to portray. Whoever is dressing her up got mixed the old Oiran houses with the modern soaplands for sure.

The album title is correctly Japonesque, not that I'll be buying it.

black undies would have been more " classic ", this pukey pink is just cheap and nasty...................but then that's the look she wants to achieve. LOL

She has to try harder because she is not naturally beautiful like Nakashima Mika or Kimura Kaera. Artistic though cliche' photo nonetheless.

Romeo, I think she's going to regret ever saying that when she gets old, isn't married and has no kids.

Not a fan of her but I'd take her over Hamasaki any day! She was a fat kid, was bullied and has chatted about that. Not exactly a 'rolemodel" but probably the closest Japan will get in terms of someone in the entertainment business when it comes to the issues of growing up and not being kawaiiiiii like the annoying girls of AKB and Morning Musume and the like.

While I don't like Koda Kumi's personality, particularly with regard some of her past comments, the woman CAN dance, and has a pretty good looking body. I'd never buy her music, though.

dude, stop hating. i think the album covers gorgeous. She's got talent, a unique voice, and she's beautiful too. Her songs are also really good.
