Kyoko Fukada, 31, will star in a remake of the 2006 TV series "The Stewardess Cop," about three JAL international flight attendants who get involved in solving murder mysteries in the various cities they visit around the world.
The original series starred Naomi Zaizen and is still available on DVD.
The upcoming drama, which begins airing on Fuji TV in July, will be Fukada's first role as a flight attendant, though she has played a detective before.
The drama is being made with the cooperation of JAL, which is providing uniforms and aircraft interiors.
Fukada said she loved playing a flight attendant and hopes audiences will enjoy the murder mysteries, according to Sports Nippon.

I wonder if they run up against any fiendish goings on in the mile high club....

"The Stewardess Cop"
Why stop there? How about "The Stewardess Cop Doctor Lawyer".

Kyoko still looks good.

How come the flight attendants never look like her on the airlines I fly with (Qantas, American, United)?

This is not an easy task. I am wondering how they will come up with new script every week. Drunk passengers, terrorist, sick passengers, passenger gave birth, sexual assault on flight. Wow it going to be very interesting.

Add that to the things you can do on a 24 hour layover. Shopping, sightseeing, solve a murder mystery.

And as long as they're all female.... ; )

Read the criminals their rights - chicken or pork!

Question: So here's a bunch of crimes and the only thing they have in common are three flight attendants. Seems suspicious to me. Maybe they're just really good at placing the blame on innocent people?

I guess you never watch Hollywood movies, huh?

Right, because JAL flight attendants have legal jurisdiction rights internationally and clearly don't need rest on layovers. Very convincing and likely. I'm sure this will rock as long as they are solving crimes scantily clad in a t-back and push up bra while running through a hotel chasing after the baddies.

Still available after being off the air for only 8 years? Must have been a real winner.

"The Stewardess Cop" - what a campy title. :-) Sounds like a parody or a Saturday Night Live skit. Classic!

Makes me glad I don't watch TV.

No wonder she was too busy to serve me a glass of water (JAL Business Class).

Ah, remaking a series - and a recent one too - gotta give it to the Japanese for their originality.
Now if only the acting wasn't so wooden that I get splinters in my eye from watching TV. As for Japanese "comedy", I laughed harder when that Korean Ferry capsized.
That is, not at all.
