Lackluster tribute to Paul McCartney

I would like to hear artists from a different generation cover McCartney as well. On the other hand, McCartney's fans are mostly older people, and the younger fans he does have mostly don't pay for their music - they download. So it makes sense to target the older fans.

would be interesting to hear younger artists have a go, but given that the writer wishes that Katy Perry would have contributed, glad it was left to the old-timers

I'm all for the old-timers contributing, but the likes of Bob Dylan should really give it away. Much like McCartney himself!

Paul is rich enough and does not need producers feeding off of the fat trimmings and should tell them enough is enough and retire peacefully in the English countryside.

Because he has done nothing of any note since the Beatles split.

I don't know 'The Wings' were pretty good and he wrote composed much for others. Granted not as big as John Lennon but bigger than the other 3 Beatles members.
