Lady Gaga arrives in Japan for 3 concerts

American pop singer Lady Gaga arrived in Japan on Tuesday night. Lady Gaga, who flew in from Hong Kong, is in Japan for three concerts at Saitama Super Arena on May 10, 12 and 13 as part of her "The Born This Way Ball" tour which will see her perform 110 concerts in Asia, Europe and the U.S. over six months.

The Saitama concerts will be her first in Japan since 2010, though Lady Gaga has been to Japan twice since the March 11 disaster to show her support for the country and her "little monsters," as she calls her fans.

About 250 Japanese fans were on hand to greet the singer, who was dressed in a black Versace mini-dress and wearing 25-cm high heels.

Ahead of her arrival, a teacup used by Lady Gaga on a previous visit to Japan fetched 6 million yen in an online auction to raise funds for those affected by the 2011 tsunami.

From the article

........as part of her "The Born This Way Ball" tour which will see her perform

Even a deaf can recognize that the "The Born This Way " song is the copy, in best case the redo of Madonna's big hit song, the Express Yourself.

Hope she has some more tea cups to sell.

Japanese fans going gaga in more ways than one...

I'm with Wolfpack on this one. Why/how a person like this has become (God forbid) a role model for Japanese youth, is sad beyond comprehension.

I saw her a few years ago when what she was doing was somewhat different and new. Now she's trying to be the new madonna with the shock factor. Got old real quick.

We can't really know the true intention of all the stars who are doing something to bring attention to Tohoku and no doubt there are ones just seeking self attention or boosting a failing career. But we can judge by what they do has a whole, and with Lady GAGA she was already doing much even before the 3/11 disaster.

She's a talented singer and musician, but for god's sake, stop trying so hard with the halloween freak costumes. her meat dress was vomit-inducing.

Wow Gaga was actually dressed conservative this time around. Funny how people haven't commented on that lol. I agree as well. Not to mention it's not like Gaga can get any more attention then she already has. Japan has some of her most loyal fans. So I kinda doubt she would do anything to jeopardize that. She has a good heart & while some might not agree with her style. It is what makes Gaga who she is. I was extremely impressed with her interview with Oprah. More to this Diva then people realize.

I agree! Not to mention the fact that she's a classically trained pianist who NEVER lip-syncs.

Wow... such hate! I challenge you all to make ONE intelligent criticism of Lady Gaga that is unrelated to a) your personal taste in music (i.e. "I hate mainstream pop") and/or b) her appearance. I dare you!

her meat dress was vomit-inducing.

Wasn't that the point? She was making a statement against vivisection....
