Honestly, just my opinion but I never liked Leno as the host of this show. But then, no one can really compare to Carson. Still, credit is due where credit is due, and congrats to him on lasting as long as he has and doing a a good job (according to most). Fallon can be extremely funny, but I wonder if it's the right kind of humor for such a show. It'll definitely be a maturing point.

Tonight Show started with Steve Allen (1954-1957), Jack Paar (1957-1962), Johnny Carson (1962-1992), Jay Leno (1992-2009), Conan O'Brien (2009-2010), Jay Leno (2010-2013). Since the show started in NYC until Johnny moved it to Burbank, CA in 1972, it's nice to see it return. The show had more odd to interesting guest prior to the LA run. It used to run for 1 1/2 hr.

Leno is great. Carson was great in different flavor. Flavors change. Fallon? A bit Salinsky-esque IMO.

I do have to say I liked Fallon's one-term joke, though. Too bad he was wrong.

Fallon and Leno are both better than Letterman

Nincompoop Broadcasting Company

The knucklehead executives at NBC are gonna bite down hard on this one, once they see their ratings slide into the ocean and to the bottom of the sea.

Jimmy Fallon may be an attraction to the younger audience, but Jay Leno's Years of Experience, Fan Base, his Funny Monologs and Show format certainly show why this will another Big Mistake AGAIN Nincompoops at NBC....

Oh wait, remember? These there were the same knuckleheads that cut out HALF of the closing show of the Olympics to prop some STUPID Sitcom...Gawd, I can't wait for NBC to just go Off The Air for good.

You can't ignore Leno's most prominent achievement: he reduced The Tonight Show to a 60-minute exercise in banality. There's nowhere to go but up, and I think Jimmy Fallon can handle it.
