Refrying lame TV series... Again...
PharaohChromium
Oh god, no.
snowymountainhell
Agreed ****@Kentarogaijin 7:36am. Even that photo looks “refried”. (What’s with the blurred photos lately.):

Why are they insisting on milking this franchise that's already dried up? I mean don't get me wrong, I liked the show but it's been years since it last aired and it's dated at best now.

The guy on the right in the gray suit right arm is where exactly?
snowymountainhell
Unless British born, Canadian-American actress Kim Cattrall is holding out for more cash, she is the only one smart enough NOT to rejoin this charade:
"The city's different, the world's different and the conversations are different." -snowymountainhell
Equally puzzled, @KobeWhiteBarOwner 8:57am:“The guy’s right arm is where exactly?” - These poor photos lately are too blurry to distinguish anything.
rainman1
er...just don't bother watching @snowy. Or commenting. You've probably spent as much time commenting and thinking about what to write than it would tale to watch an episode. Seems like has nobody has actually watched it. I have, and its ok. Just that.

What does stale bread taste like if it gets burnt in the toaster?

The above has made tons of women & those around them more & more miserable as time passes. But manufacturers of anti-depressants are doing well!

Everyone’s entitled to opinions *@rainman1 10:22am ***unless You prefer censorship ? **- One comment was about the current show and the rest were critiques about this media’s presentation.
snowymountainhell
To be fair, admittedly ‘sat through’ EVERY episode of the previous series in the 90’s and 2 movies with the ex-girlfriend… and enjoyed the ‘benefits’ that followed ; ) . - Enjoy Your new show, *@**rainman1*.
starpunk
Oh no, not again.
inse, recycle, repeat.
Flogging a dead horse once again. Zzzzzzzzz.

There are a few very good to great movies this year but the vast majority are simply not that good to plain bad. There's been a general lack of creativity in Hollywood for quite some time hence why we get these sequels and remakes that nobody really asked for. Then there's the poor quality of writing with nonsensical and banal scripts. Then add all the lame comic book movies that most have grown sick of and it's easy to see why so few films leave a lasting positive impression.

I'm sure all the wine moms will be happy this show is back on the air. Expect topics like post-menopausal sex and lubricants to be major show themes.

If there was a line up between those who like these series (Line 2) and those who don't (Line 1). We know who will laugh at who.
So you're in line * ? Exactly.

Apparently the USA Producers are asleep at the wheel, as usual.
In case you haven’t noticed, this country isn’t all that interested in sex.
Pukey2
Never seen a single episode but I grew up watching Kim Cattrall. I remember her from Mannequin, the first Police Academy and some teen movie where she starred as some young high school teacher who, if I remember correctly, had a habit of howling.

Sorry, I've got a headache tonight.
Luddite
I watched the first two episodes with my sister last night and we both agreed it was awful. Kim Cattrell was right to stay away.
GdTokyo
And just like that, their time had passed.
GdTokyo
would that be SJP?
Hervé L'Eisa
It was a crappy show to begin with. Rehashed junk for NYorkers.
snowymountainhell
She had a cute body in Mars Attacks (1996).

Did you get through the first 4 seasons of Melrose Place like me?

For the Yuppies. Just a bunch of dull puke. Like Beverly hills 90210 and Ally McBeal. Crap!
Pretty ladies, but everyone's a lunkhead however. And the early 00's version was even worse.
Rinse. Dry. Recycle trash. Repeat. And then there's those gawaful bastardized comic book flix and Disney redos and now that it's December that 'Top Gun' sequel hasn't come out last month as was said to be, did it? Remember what Rhett Butler said.

Sequels are difficult. Fans often don't like change. A lot of your viewers/readers will want more of the same, which may not be an option after two decades. Anything mainstream and high profile now has additional pressures on it in terms of content: Pump up the diversity or else. The 'Dallas' reboot predated these extra demands and the first series was decent enough, so it is possible.
SATC was essentially aspirational. Ordinary people don't have lives like this. The best they could do was aim at the same aspirational point for the same viewer base, who are now also older. But as people age, their aspirations diminish or evaporate. From sex and the city to tena pants and the menopause. With sassy fun, style and as many non-white/non-hetero characters as they could shoehorn in without it looking hopelessly artificial. Not an easy project. Give them a break.
Kim Cattrall has hinted that she didn't enjoy doing it the first time around and didn't fancy a repeat. If you lose a character, you should milk it. Opiate overdose maybe. Topical, and gives you a springboard for the remaining three to determine to do the things they would regret never having done before the grim reaper visits.
