Longtime British comedy star June Whitfield dies at 93

Remember her from Ab Fab. That show was just nutty, and she fit in just perfectly.

Shall miss her, brilliantly funny, impeccable sense of timing, been part of the TV background to my life.

I'm probably one of the few who found Ab Fab ab bor. Never got into it. I'll always remember her as Terry's wife and the feminist who wrecked havoc at the beauty contest in Carry On Girls. Heck I even have vague memories of Happy Ever After.

America has Betty White. UK had June Whitefield.

Lovely tributes to her screened on the BBC this evening. She was brilliant.

She was great in AbFab, even when the show had run out of steam. Couldn't stand the oh so suburban middle class farce of Terry and June, though.

RIP.

I hated Terry and June too, but when BBC1 screened an episode on NYE as a tribute it had an overwhelmingly positive response. Even my nephew's kids liked it, Terry 'Manchild' Scott was a hit. No accounting for taste.
