Mariko Shinoda to visit homes in nurse attire

Mariko Shinoda, a model and member of the popular girl's group AKB48, is taking part in a campaign for Internet access provider So-net Hikari. As a part of the campaign, Shinoda, 23, will dress up as a nurse and visit people's homes.

Accompanied by the campaign character Momo no Hana at a promotional event, Shinoda wore the yellow nurse's uniform that she also sports in the TV commercials. Regarding her role in the campaign, Shinoda commented, “We're still in the process of figuring things out, so I'm nervous. I hope that I can share my love for TV with the people I visit.”

When asked what type of home she would like to visit, she answered, “It would be great if I could meet people who love TV, but don't have much experience using the Internet, so that I can teach them how exciting it is.”

She also expressed her ambitions for a TV commercial in the future, saying, “I love curry, so I want to dress up in a costume resembling curry rice, using white and brown colors,” and implied that she would like to be served curry rice at the homes she visited.

I guess I'll serve her a banana when she visits my home in that yellow uniform.

How irritatingly goofy...

Typical japanese "talento" comment....dumb and stupid.

Is that really what she thinks? I kind of hope it is just a bad translation but it happens over and over.

delivering health to people's doorsteps, how nice of her

And lets have it right - it's curry AND rice, not curry rice.

I will refrain from commenting the contents of her brain, but what does nursery have to do with TV?

Nice looking lady, but ugly name.

I bet she couldn't even eat a proper curry. Anything spicier than a casserole and she's dtart squealing karaii.

Who decided celebrities should spout this kind of insipid drivel?

I wonder if she's the brightest kid in AKB48

And yet the J-population continues to eat this stuff up... If I were a cynical and ironic marketer I'd have made her say that stupid curry line on purpose to metaphorically jab at the mindless J-population that keeps these talentos working

Two bubbleheads in two stupid costumes -- Marketing 101 in Japan. Shame that a company that wants people to access the Internet, and thereby possibly learn new things, has to resort to the standard juvenile approach. Proof once again that everything must be dumbed down and have a huge dose of kawaii to be accepted here.

And lets have it right - it's curry AND rice, not curry rice.

In this case.

Why does a pink teddt bear need a nurse? Or access to the internet?

Bunch of retarded children, these people.

I think "Momo-no-Hana" chan is trying to put his little paw somewhere he shouldn't. But smart Mariko is keeping a hold on his paw... good girl.

I will gladly pay for the air ticket if she visits my place. Maybe we can make a homemade movie together.

If she wants to dress up as curry and come to my house, that's fine with me.

I first thought that was the NOVA rabbit she was holding hands with.

I was going to ask why, but then I saw the picture...
