Why arent we accepting of transracials too?

I notice there are no comments on this, perhaps it's because nobody cares what "Zach Barack" thinks one way or the other, I know I don't, and I sure hope he or she or whatever never talks about politics above all else, entertainers should just entertain, collect their big paychecks and keep their trap shut.

Perhaps Zach is just one of the reasons the New Spider-man movie is just so so.

What wonderfulness that Hollywood spreads across the globe

Barack said that to him, superhero movies "always felt like a trans story because it's talking about identity

Yaaaawnnn.

It’s only a matter of time before people will be calling others racist if they refuse to acknowledge a person is the race they identify as instead of what they are biologically. It is the only logical result possible from the victory of the trans delusion. You are what you say you are - regardless of objective reality. Pseudo science over the scientific method and facts.

To answer your question, it’s because there’s no such thing as “transracial,” while transgenderism is an actual diagnosis recognized by the WHO as well as other mental health organizations around the world, including Japan.

I hooe that that clears things up for you. If not, I’d suggest the American Psychological Association website as they have a very thorough QA about it.

And every year more definitions are added because there's no objective standard for these definitions, merely what's in vogue at the time.

there needs to be more representation of his experience...

there needs to be more roles for trans people in all sorts of movies.

Quite the demanding young fellow.

"The truth is you have to put out there what people want to see and what people need to see,"

Quite the presumptuous young man. Omniscient, rather.

IMHO what there needs to be is fewer pointless super-hero movies. Regardless of who they're about.

So many closed minds and terrified people. The person is only in the movie for 2 or 3 scenes.

Regardless, the film is not as good as Spiderman Homecoming. Although I did like the not so subtle commentary on fake news.

Make mine Marvel.

Barack is speaking up for people who share his experience- and there’s nothing wrong with it. If you have the slightest intellectual curiosity, you will want to hear his opinions about better representation in Hollywood for transgenders. He is not promoting non-objective truths because humans are much more complex than just the genders we are born into. Nature does not operate in strict binary terms. It operates in a continuous spectrum to achieve maximum diversity.

Now you’re the one pretending to be omniscient. Nature has goals? I suppose you’re going to say next that one of those goals is social justice...

Zack says "The truth is you have to put out there what people want to see and what people need to see".

I think what people want and need to see is character identities that reflect the makeup of society as it really is. This would be true diversity and would look something like this:

Gender:

Female 51

Male 49

Race:

White 60%

Latino 18

Black 13

Asian 6

Other: 3

Religion:

Christian 69

Unaffiliated 24

Judaism 2

Islam 1

Buddhism 1

Hinduism 1

Other religions 1

Unnkown 1

Political persuasion:

Democrat 48

Republican 46

Other 6

Sexuality:

Straight 97

LGBTQ 3

Certain 'priveliged' groups are over represented in Hollywood while others that make up large sections of society are made to look as if they don't exist.

Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society - Aristotle

People should try to think for themselves, so here's a quote that perhaps too simply describes today's society in my opinion.

“The five marks of the Roman decaying culture:

Concern with displaying affluence instead of building wealth;

Obsession with sex and perversions of sex;

Art becomes freakish and sensationalistic instead of creative and original;

Widening disparity between very rich and very poor;

Increased demand to live off the state.”

― Edward Gibbon

The far leftist in our society also seem to be trying to fulfill the 10 planks of the Communist manifesto in the West, and so far they are winning. The already managed to fulfill the majority of them within Western Society at large, and at times the Right seems to be helping it all along smoothly.

Pretty soon to show love in entertainment we will be presented with pure porno, we will be shown the kiss and the actual penetration on our screens, and when it becomes common place it will then be rated PG. So simply put, Societies collapse when the degeneration of any moral values becomes common place.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were a practicing clinical psychologist who has experience using the DSM-5. Maybe you can explain a bit more about how diagnoses are made, and why there are no objective standards in psychiatry.

Or perhaps you could point us to any of the papers you may have written on the topic, wherein your findings disagree with modern psychology on this issue? I'd be interested in seeing how exactly you showed flaws in the diagnosis of gender dysphoria by the rest of your colleagues, most of whom (e.g., members of the APA) agree is a real diagnosis.

The first openly transgender actor in the Marvel Universe says there needs to be more representation of his experience.

Why? Because he/she/whatever-I-don’t-care says so?

“Terrified”? More like bored to death.

We aren’t? I’m willing to suspend the evidence of my eyes. Why aren’t you?

@Anonymous, clearly people are so bored, they've gone to the trouble of downvoting any comment that offends their heterosexual sensibilities.

The language seeking to denigrate and demonize trans people is similar to that of the commentary wheeled out towards gay people a few decades ago.

It's rather telling how some males bang on about the act of penetration whenever a topic concerning LGBT representation/rights/identity/sexuality crops up.

I'm sure there's a Freudian reason for it but it does make me laugh, as if the entire experience of being gay/lesbian/trans or bisexual boils down to whether or not a penis docks in an orifice.

Still, I'd rather the confusion and terror kept to the confines of the internet, than translate into hate crimes and violence against LGBT people irl.

The story of Marvel has been about representation

Example: the X-Men and mutants are about the oppressed minorities due to being different from the norms

I sure hope he or she or whatever never talks about politics above all else, entertainers should just entertain, collect their big paychecks and keep their trap shut.

As long as everybody else do the same, no matter their jobs

That includes everyone here

Otherwise, what makes some types of jobs allowed to talk about politics, while other types of jobs aren't allowed

(Within the bounds of the law, of course)
