He's no Ted Nugent, that's for sure.
The assasination of Trump would be a disaster for America, in terms of the division that has widened since the tweeting tyrant came to power. The civil war would hasten America's descent into all out madness. Like him or loathe him, until his impeachement, he has to get through the next 4 years.
Love Johnny, mind.

I don't know if it was the right thing to do but I believe J.D. put into words what many of us have been thinking.
Toasted Heretic
Yes; the Pirates franchise is tired and Johnny needs to get back to decent films.
Kestrel
I like JD as an actor but all these celebrities jumping on the fashionable anti-Trump bandwagon - and now he's one of them.
Toasted Heretic
Johnny has form for disliking Republican Presidents. He was no fan of Dubya, either.
John Brown
I am no fan of Trump either, but to murder someone... Ehhh... JD looked like he was on something and although I like his acting in quirky roles, there was no need for that. It was actually quite painful and embarrasing to watch.

How about we just impeach him or at the very least, don't vote for him again. Even if you are a die hard Rep, just vote for another Rep besides Trump. We can do no worse. The bar has been lowered as far as it can go. It has hit the ground and rolled down hill, fell off the side of the mountain and into the great deep ocean to depths unfathomable.
Then again... To be shot by a nationally born white male with overly easy access to firearms, compliments of the far right, it may very well be poetic justice... But no, let's just wait it out.

More calls for violence from the left, this time calling for an assassination of a President and the same usual suspects right here on JT actually applauding.
I hope the mods understand that they are tacitly approving these messages as long as they let the filth stand. If we were in The United States, I think its safe to say all involved could, and should, expect a visit from the Secret Service.

A new way for JD to get out of debt?
CaptDingleheimer
I was gonna say we should boycott his movies, but nobody watches them anyway.
clamenza
Not for long. I see an IRS audit in his immediate future..
Kestrel
Actually, its interesting, but I wonder how many people there are like me who have made decisions not to patronize the products of these hollywood virtue signallers?
eg, Ashley Judd ( who i used to like watching) - forget it. I'll never watch anything shes in again.
pacint
Actors are hired they don't create/produce the product normally.
Many parts make up the whole and everybody gets their paycheck before the product is made available.
I could care less what what any idol, star, politician, etc does.
Just not interested, if the product is good(rarely these days) I pay.

Please don't joke about this or even wish for it. Having Trump is good comedy anyway. But who on earth wants to have half of US airports and space centers named after Trump (Remember Kennedy?). And you would be the subject of jokes if you had to serve on the SS Trump. Please NO! Don't even joke about it.

Let's all go kill Johnny Depp, Madona, Kathy Griffin...hmmmm; who ELSE ?
Ike-in-Tokyo-from-89
You mean ignore them? You do have a cruel streak!
John Brown
"More calls for violence from the left, this time calling for an assassination of a President and the same usual suspects right here on JT actually applauding."
Were you claiming the same horrid things said, but coming from your own side, when Obama was in office?
"I think its safe to say all involved could, and should, expect a visit from the Secret Service."
This isn't Russia and they are not the KGB. This is America and the First Amendment allows for freedom of speech. The Second Amendment is the right to bare arms, which trumps (no pun intended) any attempt to stiffle it. (However as I argued before, freedom of speech also has it's limits.)
But like I had mentioned earlier, what JD said was not cool in the least and I will say again, quite painful to watch. But I wonder if it was more him acting like Trump, when he noted ["This is going to be in the press," he said before making the comments. "It will be horrible."]

just hours after he wrote
I won't even comment on the incredible hypocrisy of the two statements. Just gonna leave it like that.
Jimizo
While I can understand celebs trashing trash as a way to promote themselves, this was a stupid remark typical of many celebs.
Celebs are very often full of s### with a few notable exceptions and Trump always is.
Best to not take either seriously for the most part.
bass4funk
Teump is s***? How so?
Depp for sure, that bus left along time ago. As for Trump, the best thing that could happen for the country is a president that would clean up the mess of the last president that almost ruined it beyond repair.
John Brown

Those two segments you left off precariously in your statement. Watch Fox News much?
["To be shot by a nationally born white male with overly easy access to firearms, compliments of the far right, it may very well be poetic justice.."]
Irony if it happend. I see it was lost on you, as are most other things it would seem.
"I won't even comment on the incredible hypocrisy of the two statements. Just gonna leave it like that."
Do us all a favor and just don't comment or post period.

Sorry, opportunities to expose gross hypocrisy on the left like the one you gave yesterday are too good to pass up.
Ill keep fighting the good fight.
yakyak
I used to love JD. Now he just looks and acts like and old drunk sore loser.
John Brown
"opportunities to expose gross hypocrisy on the left like the one you gave yesterday are too good to pass up."
What are you talking about? Where was the hypocrisy? Do you even know what that means? Or are you just pulling words you hear from Fox News or talk radio?
On a side note, JD apologizes for what he said. But the damage was already done. It was a poor joke to begin with and too drawn out, probably why he is not a stand up comedian. Leave the jokes to the professionals.

It is good for people to have criminal awareness for writing untruth and hostile or hateful attitude. I think that Donald Trump, having a business experience that requires a steel character, will apply appropriate strategies to a person who has a lower social position. On the other hand, I did not like racist statements. Attacks of the President is foolishly unprofitable, wipe out another election...
dcog9065
Nearly as bad as when Trump called for the assassination of Clinton. Nearly..
