Radio stations resisted his more socially conscious follow-up song, “Am I Black Enough for You” and the Rev. Jesse Jackson was among those who objected to the explicit “Let’s Make a Baby.”

Ahh so this artist was hardcore pro-Black. Why wasn't Rev. J. Jackson supportive? too PC?

I've never heard of this genre.

RIP. Pity he's mainly known for one song, especially since its not necessarily his best. Here's another.
