Kuroki reported pregnant 2 weeks after denying relationship with Akanishi

Popular actress-singer Meisa Kuroki, 23, is two months pregnant and has announced her marriage to former KAT-TUN singer Jin Akanishi, 27, tabloid media reported Thursday.

The news, first reported by Sports Nippon, comes two weeks after the couple denied they were dating. “We’re friends but he is not my boyfriend,” Kuroki said in a statement released last month by her agency, while Akanishi’s agency, Johnny’s Jimusho, released a statement in which he said “We are not going out.”

The gossip started when the pair were spotted together at Tokyo DisneySea on Jan 22, Sankei Shimbun reported. A Johnny’s spokesperson said that Akanishi did go to Tokyo DisneySea, but he wasn’t alone with Kuroki. They were among a group of friends, the spokesperson said.

Besides DisneySea, the pair were also seen in Okinawa on Jan 14 and at Lalaport Toyosu in Tokyo's Koto Ward on Jan 21.

Akanishi is going to release the album "JAPONICANA" in Japan and the U.S. on March 7, and go on a concert tour of five cities in the U.S. He will also be seen in the Hollywood film "47 RONIN," alongside Keanu Reeves, to be released in December.

Kuroki has a second album, "UNLOCKED," due out on Feb 15. Sports Nippon reported that she will continue working after giving birth.

That headline...with that picture...priceless. Perfect match JT wish you had emotes on here. I'd give you thumbs up all day lol

Bah.... what a waste.. she could do much better.... not gonna last...

-3 ( +4 / -6 )

Miraculous conception then?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

"unlocked" seems an adequate name. Anyway, this is the same thing every time; when a celebrity denies they are dating another celebrity, prepare for an announcement of marriage and/or pregnancy (if the former, then the latter comes a week later, by rule) within two weeks. I don't know why they bother denying it at all -- it's certainly not going to stay private for long. She should have just said, "Yeah, we're dating (or just sleeping together), no get lost and mind your own business!"

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Congratulations!

-9 ( +4 / -12 )

Click-click. What's that sound I can hear....sounds suspiciously like a shotgun...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

So.......who trapped who?

Larkin put it best: "Man hands on misery to man, it deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, and don't have any kids yourself"

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

hope that the couple will not follow the footprints of many J-stars. get divorce just after 2-3 years

3 ( +4 / -0 )

Ah haa... She did not take the pill.?

-5 ( +2 / -6 )

I can't believe she's only 23. She looks more like a real woman than the typical j-celeb.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

she's overrated

-1 ( +8 / -7 )

What ever happened to birth control?

-2 ( +5 / -6 )

Unless things have changed in the past couple of decades, Japan women don't take birth control pills because it isn't available. Japanese women rely on the man to put a condom on (ha, ha) or get an abortion when they do the deed and find out they are pregnant.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

This happy shotgun marriage is headed for a happy future... Jeezus. Contraception people. Contraception. So irresponsible becuase now there is another human being involved who had no say in it.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

@Dentok: The pill is now available in Japan, but not really pushed as a way to control fertility. It took 30 yrs to get through the 'Diet', viagra took about 3 days... funny that.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

A 27 year old guy should know what a condom is. And a celeb at that.

Maybe he did, and not using one was part of his plan. ;-)

I've never been jealous of any boy band J-pop star but I guess today changed that quick.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

She is a very pretty young woman. I like her.

She denied everything January 28th according to the above JT link. More publicity for her I suppose, courtesy of JT. We will now have to suffer months of world shattering revelations as to how she will be a loving wife, exceptional mother, whilst at the same time pursuing her career as a actress/singer and promoter of useless cosmetic products.

6 ( +6 / -1 )

Sheriff i join you in your envy. She coulda done so much better. I would nominate me for example

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

So denials are the new affirmation.

An overabundance of false-negatives.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Thumb goes down .... Why ?

It looks like they do not use pills or condoms ... just split on the mat ..or any other place ?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I could not help myself and had to google her images. She had beautiful legs as a 17 year old, but the maturity of her face now is stunning. Luvly skin too.

I wish her luck with marriage and the new baby.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Waaaa I'm sooooo jealous!!!! Akanishi Jin is so sexy!!! He is perfect!!! Well done, Meisa!! The kid is gonna be super cute!

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

“We’re friends but he is not my boyfriend,” Kuroki said, he said “We are not going out"

So you guys were sex friends. This marriage is for Publicity, it will boost their careers. She looks psycho in this photo like she is not wrapped to tight.

1 ( +3 / -1 )

Serrano: Congratulations! -7 That's what you get for being a nice guy.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

By the way, is Lalaport near Lalaland?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Oh shocking. More j celebs not bothering to use protection. Wonderful role models. Does anyone in this country get married then have kids?!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I'd always assumed Akanaishi to have been, shall we say, not a ladies' man in the traditional sense. I thought he'd gone through the Johnny's recruitment couch.

Seems I was wrong. Congratulations, you lucky, lucky, girly-looking boy.

6 ( +6 / -1 )

Does anyone in Japan marry for love and plan a family anymore?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

What ever happened to birth control?

That's what she said.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

What a lucky guy!

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Maybe this is for business, and your purported Johnnycouch action was for pleasure.

Does anyone in Japan marry for love

Love marriage is a bourgeois concept not shared by all the peoples around the world. It may be your preference and that's fine, but some people have different preferences. So long as they are happy with that arrangement, leave them be.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

What ever happened to birth control?

Well the pill is not popular here after being banned for so many years. And many women here don't insist on guys using protection. In fact sometimes they are even surprised when the guy insists.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Lucky guy! He got the hottest woman on this island.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Heard this guy interviewed (in English), the only thing worse than his arrogance was the low quality of his songs/music. Although i do think their kid will be good looking...he couldnt have done better & she couldnt have done worse. & i couldnt be more jealous

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Oh, I thought they meant Hitomi Kuroki!

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Good luck to them. My wife and I were her age when when we married (heh heh...under the same circumstances) and we will be celebrating 19 years next month. These things can work, but sorry Meisa, kiss your wild 20's goodbye. You will get used to it.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

So long as they are happy with that arrangement, leave them be. Are they though? Consider a mere few weeks ago they denied being together and now they are expecting a kid and planning a wedding... I give them a few years. She might very well be over the moon but I doubt he is.

Its interesting how the less than clever are always so damned awful sure of themselves.

All these "birth control" comments hinge on one vital piece of information no presumptuous fool here possesses: whether or not they actually wanted a baby.

If you cannot wrap your head around that here: They may not share petty childish ideas that marriage MUST come before pregnancy. Next, the dekichatta marriage (not forced, so not shotgun), is in something of a vogue in Japan right now. Therefore, some couples are probably actually shooting for it, just to scandalize dumb people.

Yes, I know she told us all they were not even dating, a lie which usually implies they were not serious. But guess what? She owes us no explanation. She owes the press no explanation. She lied and she has every right as these paparazzi scum and their fans pry information they most certainly DO NOThave the right to. A "no comment" would have set off a tizzy off insane speculation. So her only option was to lie. They might have been at it quite a while.

Even if not, they STILL might both have wanted the baby and very conciously jumped in with both feet after a brief dating period. Stranger things have happened. This might just be a new twist on elopement.

Some other reasons to go for the dekichatta marriage are 1) the parents don't approve of the partner. But then OOPS! She's preggers! Parents now shut up. This trumps old style elopement. and 2) both want marriage and both want kids and DON'T want a sterile partner. No need for the hassle and expense of a doctor to prove they are both fertile. This method is free.

So please, drop this condescension about the birth control. Its as ugly as it is ignorant. This is not your best friend crying because he did not want to be a dad. You don't know these people.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

“We are not going out.” ..................................indoor activity, hummm, that's why she's pregnant. If the baby looks anything like mommy, it'll be a good one. More bambino for Japan !!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Two dekichatta marriages that seem to be working are that of Hitoshi Matsumoto 2009 and Taiyo Sugiura 2007. You might also count Eita Nagayama 2009, although they were engaged before she got pregnant. And I know of several more from 2011, but its too early to tell how they will do.

These two don't have to go the way of Namie Amuro and Leah Dizon. No reason to be pessimistic. There seem to be as many Japanese celeb success stories as failure stories. I wish them the best of luck.

Looks like they look for Mr. Prince charming with money and find the right time to get them through sex to get impregnate, then it is expected that because they did it, they have to get married. Else they might continue as friends until they get tired of each other, or find somebody else.

You wouldn't believe how many of my close Japanese female friends have confined in me how they got married using that same M.O. Now most of them have a nice house, kids and financial security.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

What do ya think, divorced before or after their kid starts walking....................I predict BEFORE!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

She owes us no explanation. She owes the press no explanation. She lied and she has every right as these paparazzi scum and their fans pry information they most certainly DO NOThave the right to. They don't "owe" us anything but you have to remember that they are only famous for selling their souls to the public and make a living off of being in the public eye. How about not working in the entertainment industry if they value their privacy. You can't have it both ways.

Rather convenient timing with both having projects coming out. I doubt it was planned and if it was, good luck to them but marrying and having kids so young doesn't exactly have a great track record here, does it?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

but marrying and having kids so young doesn't exactly have a great track record here, does it?

By your narrow and finite definition of "great track record" probably not. And not that I am going to accuse you of digging up statistics, comparitive or othewwise, to make the claim either. Who need stats when you got your gut, right? It feels to good to verbally beat up these people, right?

they are only famous for selling their souls to the public and make a living off of being in the public eye.

She is an actress and singer. He is a singer. That has absolutely zip to do with their private lives. Neither one of them are Paris HIlton. So part of their work is that they are seen by people as they work? Same with an English teacher!

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Seems like she has the better career prospects. Wonder if he'll be willing to be a house-husband.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Jin Akanishi from Kat-Tun? Is that the one that looks like Skeletor, the gay looking one, or the she-boy?

Well it doesn't really matter. Just keep posting pics of her, that is all that is needed to make this article worth clicking on to..

1 ( +1 / -0 )

When did she ever find time to have sex....seems like she is in every other movie, drama, or commercial in Japan. Well, good luck with your new family.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

well you can kiss that career goodbye......

Apparently nobody learned anything from what's her name? Oh yeah nobody remembers or cares anymore.....

Kuroki who?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Well, I think Ricky Gervaise said it best as Andy Millman, "Maybe if we stopped paying attention to all this celebrity gopssip, we could get on with doing something more worthwhile ! " Or words to that effect.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Sorry, was meant to read "gossip" .

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Koda now my Kuroki awwwwww well they getting older it bound to happen. :(

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yay Koroki-chan! I'll bet you'll have a beautiful baby. A couple of my cousins when to your high school so we're always interested in your adventures.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

It feels to good to verbally beat up these people, right? How is thinking it is sad that a 23 year old has basically just thrown her life and career under the bus beating them up? If anything I feel sympathy.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

dekichatta, bang bang goes the SHOTGUN!

What do ya think, divorced before or after their kid starts walking....................I predict BEFORE!

Before the kid starts walking, but after hubby starts stepping out.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Their parents must be very proud.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

How much you bet Uniqlo launches a new preggers line of clothing with guess who as the model?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I do not know about Akanishi but she strikes as a girl without any brains.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

LoveNot > i dont think he was considering her brains when he was getting down n dirty

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Damn.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I wish them the very best with their relationship, but i gotta feeling ........ that kinda feeling..... you know what i mean

0 ( +0 / -0 )
