"I think it's up to filmmakers to make films that need to be seen on the big screen, and make an audience feel like if they don't see it on a big screen, they are going to miss out."

As a cinema-goer, that's my motivation.

... haven,t watched this one yet, but i,m definitely gonna see it, but i don,t think i,m gonna change my mind and i,m still gonna keep saying that Joker should be the big winner at the Oscars this year... for a number of reasons ...

Looking forward to this. Coming to a theater near you(last on the list under Taiwan) on Feb 14. Too bad I leave for the States on the 15th, we need the subtitles.

I’ll probably be expecting to hear “The Thin Ice” bust out at anytime in the movie.

Anyone else notice that the best films released in 2019 were those without any liberal politically correct theme's - 1917, The Irishman and Joker.

No - the thought hadn't occurred to me and I can't think of a year filled with "liberal politically correct themes".

Thinking through this, I expect you mean that you feel a sense of indignation if a film about slavery is released as having politically correct messages rammed down your throat.

It is you that determines what politically correct themes are.

Oh, 1917 does have a bit of a "lions led by donkeys" thing, which is seen by some as a liberal left message.
