Japanese five-girl idol group Momoiro Clover Z will be the opening act for American singer Lady Gaga's concert at Chiba QVC Marine Field on Aug 14.
Lady Gaga, 28, will perform two concerts on Aug 13 and 14, her first at a stadium in Japan. The two concerts are part of her 63-concert, 23-country world tour which began in the U.S. on March 28.
Lady Gaga last gave a concert in Japan in May, 2012.
Sankei Shimbun quoted Lady Gaga as saying, "This tour will be a space dance party!” She promised that it will be a concert on a huge scale, based on the concept of the song “Venus” from her album "Artpop."
“It will be a very exciting mix of music, fashion and technology," she said.

If it wasn't for the Lady Gaga part, I might be interested. I have a couple Momoiro Clover Z songs on my playlist (both featured in the anime Bodacious Space Pirates. Naturally). Somehow though, I don't see this going down so well with the Otakus as Hatsune Miku did though. Oh well. To each their own I guess.

This just spread Japan as weird young girl, high voice fetish. I don't like.

Japan likes Lady Gaga. Live with it.

I guess Hatsune-chan was asking too much money to continue working with Lady Gaga. "Project Diva", indeed. ;-)
