Not a fan of bio-pics (read the books), but Dylan makes watching a duty.

I like that they're using the real life incident where Dylan switched to a Stratocaster from an acoustic at a performance which sent the folk music community into a frenzy.
Mangold is a dependable, solid director and I'll cut him some slack for the disastrous Indy Jones Dial of Destiny a project which he should've never taken.
The last Dylan movie I saw, I'm Not There, was really interesting so hoping this also delivers.
The hype made me go back and watch Rolling Thunder Revue a concert tour documentary by Scorsese during what for me is Dylan's musical zenith after the great album Desire.

Eagerly awaiting.
It should introduce Dylan to millions of younger people who have a fuzzy image of him as an old folkie peace-nik from ages ago who dabbled later on in some rock.
For that period of 60's ~ 70's probably no single musician, singer song-writer has emulated his impact on the music world in any other era.
A young revolutionary he was.

Saw the trailer and liked the actor’s attempt at a young Dylan’s singing voice - maybe not the most difficult voice to attempt but he didn’t exaggerate it.
Others have commented that this director has a good CV.
Worth a go.

I’m almost 40 and Dylan is just somebody I knew of because of my parents, who were bigger Beatles and Stones fans. I still don’t know that much about him, other than he’s Jewish and Dylan is his stage name and that his knocking on heaven’s door song was written for a movie. Anyone younger than me is going to have less than a fuzzy image of him.

He’s worth a listen. Massively influential whatever you think of his music.
My favourite albums are Freewheelin, Highway 61 and Blood on the Tracks.
He has written some incredible stuff covered by musicians of many genres. Very talented man.
