I'm not sure you can recreate or recapture the zeitgeist of such a definitive event. And remember, one of the later attempts to do so ended in disaster.

Peace and love isn't available these days. Sadly.

And Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, they are still playing and touring.

So much for all that peace and love 50 years later, eh? In reality it was the beginning of a progressive downfall of decency, dignity, and respect.

With Live Nation's involvement, you can forget about peace and love.

Unfortunately, the great hope of a new world of peace and love generated in the 60's never materialized. If anything the U.S. and the rest of the world has gotten worse under the philosophies of liberalism and secular humanism that gained traction in the 60's.

While pre 60's society had it's drawbacks, I'd say there are many of us who wish we could re-embrace the values of family, faith and community that were more common then and that made Western civilization so great in the first place.

The thing that set Woodstock apart from other large concerts was, there was very little violence at the concert. I fear a remake will be a very different scenario and will require a lot more stringent security.

Family, faith and community never went away. It's not just confined to the so-called great Western civilisation, either.

Family, faith and community helped bring about an end to segregation, too, let's not forget.

Will marijuana be legalized in New York in time for this?
