Japanese queen of pop Namie Amuro, 37, is back with a new studio album out June 10, and a clever music video released last week. The video for single ‘Golden Touch’ is a “simulated interactive” experience which asks you to become part of the scenes being depicted – simply by placing your fingertip in the center of the screen throughout the track.
We’re not going to ruin the fun for you by telling you what happens, so go ahead and enjoy the video below.
Generally speaking, the “golden touch” gimmick works pretty well, and the song’s not bad either. There are also plans to release an app for ‘Golden Touch’, which would presumably bring true interactivity, not just the simulated kind.
The album "_genic" will be Amuro’s first studio album in two years, and her 11th solo album overall. Since releasing her first solo single in the early 1990s, she has become one of Japan’s longest-standing pop successes.

Many Amuro fans on here, votes down x 9 for pointing out the idea was not original

Haha, I tried watching(listening) this again, STILL LAME, terrible in fact, the video (the bits I watched as I had to skid thru it) is NOTHING SPECIAL
And yeah the singing is rather painful to listen too, certainly wouldn't want to listen to the whole thing.
And I say this saying Amuro is one of the better j-poper's, but alas that isn't saying much
wtfjapan
we will love Long-Long Time." LOL yeah youd think a lady with her money would be able to at least employ a fluent english singer/songwriter

If you're going to sing in a foreign language, create some real & meaningful lyrics. Not: "can you celebrate, kiss me tonight. . . we will love Long-Long Time." Heck, I thought I was watching Full Metal Jacket-
wtfjapan
if you going to sing a song in a foreign language, at least make it sound like you have some form of fluency, my 3yr old can pronounce english words better than her.

On her last album she was declared the "Queen of Japanese Hip Hop"
True story.

Isn't she about as washed up as (ohh, there are so many) . . .oh let's say Hamasaki, Ayumi?

Perhaps until they should drop the word interactive. BTW quite bad marketing on their part by releasing a non interactive video first. They shouldve just waited until the interactive video or app is ready. I doubt many fans/non-fans are interested in an interactive video which has already been spoiled (watching) beforehand.
