Rest In Peace, Naomi Judd. A truly beautiful person whose contributions to Americana and family values will forever be remembered.

Sad whatever her illness was. Still beautiful but somewhat of an absence to her eyes in the supplemental photos. The fifth shows Naomi Judd how most fans will forever remember her:

What horrid news to wake up to. The Judds gave us some great hits over the years. RIP to Ms. Naomi Judd and deepest condolences to the family.

So very sorry to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace and those who loved her find consolation in the memories of her happier times.

She had battled mental illness for a very long time. But, this time she could not fight it any longer.

How does someone die of "mental illness"? Are they actually saying that she committed suicide caused by mental illness?

Yes, it’s reported now that she did die by suicide.

And the down votes are out of control.

DPOTI.

Yes, now I see that the US CBS news is reporting that this was a suicide. Loved her music.

to the disease of mental illness,

Something that gets shoved under the rug and dismissed, way too much.

Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Margaux Hemingway, Margot Kidder, Chris Acland (of the band Lush), michael Hutchence, Avicii, Marilyn Monroe, so many more. How many more of these cases must we see before America and the world WAKES UP and realizes what mental illness truly is? It's a monster. Even worse, it's considered as a weakness and I am so damn sick of it.

I have many friends who are veterans battling mental illness, PTSD, 'shell shock', and other issues and the armchair general / doctor public just wrings their hands and goes, 'Ooooh, ain't that a shame.' and then the next day find some excuse to dismiss and sass off the deceased as some kind of 'wussy'.

I myself lost a long-ago college girlfriend to bipolar disorder and family doesn't have a tombstone for her five years since she died. Mental illness is a serious problem that gets brushed off and I am so damn sick of it.

May Naomi find peace with God. No more miseries for her :'''''''(
