The mad fake rush for diversity and inclusion is backfiring, causing more and more disunity even amongst it's proponenents.

Just as well. They were on pace for zero viewers next year.

So this is where the culture wars are being fought. The far right, desperate to consign both diversity and Hollywood to the dustbin, must be so confused right now.

The far right, desperate to consign both diversity and Hollywood to the dustbin.

Article has nothing to do with 'far right'. Quite the contrary, it's about the far left eating its own tail. I think most people in the center would love all this Hollywood diversity and woke consigned to the dustbin judging by how the viewing figures have fallen off a cliff for these virtue signalling competitions.

Good, the last thing people need is a bunch of rich snobs congratulating each other and patting themselves on the back and bragging who's the best suck-up. These shows won't be missed, they should do all of us a favor and just go away.

Exactly!

This is so fake. The real reason they dropped the golden globes is because ratings continue to fall drastically. To be honest, in terms of diversity, there isn't a real difference between the Golden Globes and Diversity. NBC simply saw a product they couldn't capitalize from no longer and dropped it. The diversity angle is just an excuse. NBC can put up a show that easily tops 7 million views in their sleep. An event that long that takes up so much air time could barely top 6 million views.

I'm glad to hear you hated The Apprentice, too.

I never said that.

Personally, I watch movies and enjoy them based on quality no matter what the actors look like. You seem to watch them based on the actors'/actress' color, gender and sexual orientation.

I never said that.

Au contraire.

As for Trump, the man is a joke, not a politician, doesn't even have that good of a show.

Sorry kid.

Well, not quite. A bit of context, I never watched the show, one or two episodes, I don't hunker around the TV, have better things to do, loved the man, didn't care for the show, which was about building, buying real estate and promoting people that would take on big and challenging roles, not a bad thing, not my thing to hold my interest long enough, but like American Idol, if he could turn someone's life around that's a great thing, on the other hand, these acadamey shows have nothing to offer except nominating movies that the majority of people haven't heard from or are not interested in and then there are the speeches...God awful, most people don't care what these rich snobs think, it's not changing someone else's life and if these people think "the Piano" is a masterpiece, I might completely disagree, these people can promote whomever they want to receive the Golden Statue, but with all the BS political speeches, more and more people are turning them off and that's a good thing for society. Try harder.

No, because unlike the left they don’t need emotional ego-induced gratification because they wrote another Marxist bill, but back to the Golden Globes and the Hollyweird hypocrite elites, these people are their worst enemy and as Nomination stated, I also watch their movies, hate DiCaprio, but if he makes a good movie, sure, I’ll watch, just don’t ask me to watch his dumb speeches trying to lecture all of us about the environment while he cloud hops on his private jet, the absolute epitome of a hypocrite.

You could just say, "oops, I forgot I said that", instead of trying to write out War And Peace 2, but okay.

It's also weird that you picked out The Piano, a film from 1993, which lost almost every Golden Globe it was nominated for.

I look forward to War And Peace 3.

Do you think people with private jets are bad?

Boy was I wrong!

That was boring as heck, even Ishtar was more riveting.

Do you think people with private jets are bad?

The hypocrites that blab and tell me I shouldn’t use gas, fly or us the AC, I sure do.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

I didn’t

Okay. To be clear, your description of The Apprentice is inaccurate, as well. So, you hated it before you saw it, and now you love it, even though you haven't seen it?

Boy was I wrong!

Trust me when I say I have never doubted this about you.

That was boring as heck, even Ishtar was more riveting.

Ishtar?? From 1987?? Have you seen any movies from this millenium?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Okay. To be clear, your description of The Apprentice is inaccurate,

Not at all

Trust me

Ahhh, no.

Ishtar?? From 1987??

Better and a heck of a lot funnier than all the other crap they continue to put out

@deadbeatles

Affirmative Action'... coming to a theater near you...

Would you like some interesting information about affirmative action? By far, the largest and most common beneficiaries of affirmative action are white women in America. The have and still gain way more from affirmative action than any other group. So using affirmative action as an excuse for BIPOC is not a weighted argument when the data on it exists since its inception.
