David Crosby was both a genius and arrogant, and he probably said some very hurtful things to and about Neil Young.

I feel like Crosby was one of those who was overrated.

In the general scheme of things, American popular music, possibly so, but for the blossoming of the early West Coast soft rock scene, the Byrds and CSNY, he was key and with his energy and drive no doubt self-centered, obnoxious and difficult to get along with, which makes Neil's praise and the tribute from Graham Nash all the more classy for giving credit where it due.

Agreed. The whole band was dysfunctional:

When Neil Young suddenly quit his 1976 tour with former Buffalo Springfield bandmate Stephen Stills, he sent a telegram: “Dear Stephen, funny how some things that start spontaneously end that way. Eat a peach. Neil.”

But I admire Neil the most out of all of them.

And yet, Graham Nash said Crosby tore the soul out of CSN and CSNY.

David Crosby was great, and one of a kind. Context is important: He came on the scene when “Dominique,” by the singing nun was #1 (https://youtu.be/EO7cD6qmydo)

Like a miracle, he arrived full blown

I will miss him

In a world where so many musicians and groups were underrated, I feel like Crosby was one of those who was overrated. I am prepared to be shown to be wrong though.
