Netflix stock plunges as subscriber growth worries deepen

Still wondering why so many people expected growth of subscriptions to be mantained without end. There is a limited amount of demand, and other streaming services are becoming more important. It is only natural to see a slowing down.

This was to be expected as competition came to the fore - Disney et al. A surprise to no one.

And with an economics 101 question - how does a company with 220million subscribers paying probably a worldwide average of $10 per month, arguably collecting $25billion in fees alone, attract doomsday attention?

There will be natural adjustments made in house - as all companies do - but this story seems like an intention to fuel devaluation for the benefit of others.

I love Netflix. Without it I would be in hell; just awful Japanese TV to watch. Hulu is rubbish in Japan, not sure about other countries though.

Sadly, it's true. Boring selection, too many family feel good movies, dumping new shows that THEY think will not make profit for them, forget about the customer that likes these shows, the fact that it is getting more political is never good. Maybe when enough people leave and cancel them, they just might listen for once.
