A new "Dragon Ball" movie - "Dragon Ball Z" - is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2015, and the teaser trailer is now out.
In the teaser, after Shenron says: "I'll grant you any wish."
A line follows: "We have someone that we want you to restore to life."
Then, the Super Siyan Goku delivers the ominous and foreboding: "Now despair begins..."
"Dragon Ball Z" is a movie sequel to "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods," released in March last year.
Originally a manga titled "Dragon Ball," Akira Toriyama's franchise has grown into one of the most popular, successful, and iconic works of Japanese animation ever produced.
Notably, the series was wildly popular in the United States and played a major role in introducing anime to an entire generation of Americans.

I missed "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods". No spoilers please.
I hope there will be fighting in the air, explosions and some kame-hame-ha now and then.

DBZ: Battle of Gods, has all that you say. I liked it, it was a fun DBZ movie.
Now there are always some people that for some crazy reason, they expect that the DBZ movie would be some kind of PG-18, with drama and with hidden and/or hidden message, that the scrip has being co-written by the Wachowski brothers or Gorge R. R. Martin and directed by Martin Scorsese or Steven Spielberg.... with result no lower than X-men or at least The Matrix..
If people are expecting that... well then people will get disappointed.

original series spoiler warning
If I recall correctly, in the first series finale, when they had only one wish for the dragon, the pig-faced character Oolong asked for young girl's panties. I think that says all about the mood and expectations one may have for the show.
It became more action-oriented and serious as the characters matured and comic relief characters were pushed aside, but it's clear that there is no special depth or message in the plot. It's just simple entertainment.
