Craig has been offered 150,000,000 US dollars for two more Bond films. I have a feeling we may be seeing him again as 007. I would love Idris Elba to be Bond though, he is rather fabulous.

Idris or Craig. I'm sold, either way.

Idris could certainly pull off the Bond roll. But we all know the next Bond is gonna be a chick to keep with the trend of pandering to the SJWs, and unfortunately for Idris and Craig they're both men.

Do we?

This has been discussed on other threads - it's not going to happen. Bond is a bloke, he is not a time travelling shape shifting alien. He is a violent, misogynistic dinosaur, a product of his training. A Bond who is female would not work. The men who tremble at the very idea can rest easy.

There's been way too many real-life failures by 'secret services' to prevent terror attacks (even when the terrorists were known to them for many years prior) for the public to buy into the fantasy any longer.

The key word there is fantasy. People will always buy into fantasy.

On top of that, just because there are failures, doesn't mean there aren't also successes. You just don't hear about most of them.

Aye; I remember when the underrated Timothy Dalton took over the role and there were dire warnings that the series was outdated and was destined for the dustbin of history. Spy movies, like gangster films, war films, westerns, sci-fi etc will always be a draw. Escapism and adventure sells.
