There's only one Bluey and he's not a little blue dog.

It's an excellent show. Why should the kids have all the good stuff to themselves?

It's an excellent show. Why should the kids have all the good stuff to themselves?

It's a cartoon. Cartoons are for children.

There's no "good stuff" in our lives as adults, unless we crib them and appropriate them from children?

Pretty disturbing how infantilized modern society has become.

“I used to tell people what do ‘The Sopranos,’ ‘The Wire’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ have in common? They all have lower IMDb scores than Bluey.

And all four of them are intellectually vapid junk-food for the mind. That describes most TV shows, in fact.

Turn off the "idiot box," as my late father called it.

Pick up a book. Go outside. Go to the gym. Go do some volunteer work. Go take a music or martial arts class. If you have kids, take them on day trips or play good old-fashioned board games with them. Games that don't involve a screen or a joystick.

Don't let your life revolve around the "idiot box" so much.

Quo Primum, I disagree. As a piece of music has a melody that works in counterpoint to the main tune, Bluey has a wry humour designed specifically for the adults who enjoy it as much as their children. In fact, there’s arguably more to enjoy as the kid’s stuff is also of a high quality. The creators were wise enough to understand the needs of both their audiences. That said, I very much doubt adults watch it by themselves. suggest you give it a go, if you have children. You’ll be well-rewarded.

Never heard of this.

Cartoons are for children.

Why do you think so? Does something being illustrated/animated automatically qualify it as only for children?

in fact.

In your opinion.

Pick up a book. Go outside. Go to the gym. Etc.

Can people not do those things and watch TV when they’re not doing those things?

Never heard of this.

Me too.. Never..

The Sopranos is arguably the best piece of art to ever be filmed and describes the human condition better than many books.

Don't let your life revolve around the "idiot box" so much.

Shakespeare was the equivalent of the "idiot box" for its time - and now it's a classic, lol
