Mick is so modest. He's a true genius to be able to do what he does.

Now there's a job satisfaction complaint you don't hear everyday!

Mick must be talking about Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Adam Levine, Ke$ha and just too many to mention. I really want to throw Kim Kardashian in there, but she's not a singer (among other things she's not)

Says the guy with a masters degree in business. He is just being modest (御謙遜).

(sarcasm on) Yeah, because NOBODY wants to be a rock star when they're young... (sarcasm off) ;)

An Englishman just being modest is almost "redundant squared" in comedic terms. I'm sure that's lost on many though... :)

I for one am glad he chose the rock star route.

Consider this: From Not Fade Away, to Satisfaction, to Sympathy for the Devil, to Gimme Shelter and Monkey Man (from Let It Bleed), to just so many, many songs they did, was there -- is there -- any other group who could kick off a song like the Rolling Stones??!! (Take an amazing song like Can't You Hear Me Knocking -- which I heard for the first time somewhere in the middle and mistook it for the group Traffic.)

I say that while admitting that I was not the biggest overall fan of the group. HOWEVER...

Satisfaction was a song I would say just about changed my life. I'll never forget that song blaring out at the pool at Hemlock Park and that utterly stunning blonde in the bikini -- lust at first sight. My other favorite memory was driving to downtown Detroit in early 1970 -- somewhat of a risky venture -- with Let It Bleed blasting on the 8-track, and, at stop lights, watching the people on the street and sitting in the cars next to us moving to the beat and giving the thumbs-up.

"I can't get no satisfaction"

I listened to an interview with Mick Jagger on NPR last night. I'm not sure if it was a repeat or not but it was interesting and humorous, well worth a listen, even if you're not a fan.

The Rocksmith game had some videos of people trying out the game before it was released and they were using "Rebel Rebel" by Bowie as the starting song. By the time the game was actually released, however, your starting song was "(I can't get no) Satisfaction". This struck me as an homage to the Stones' longevity.

I always thought the Beatles were going to outlive the Stones. I was wrong!
