Well, he was right. He simply no longer has the balls to speak the truth because he hopes to win a prize from the weirdos in LA.

What an abomination. No I am not saying because they are transgender. But being transgender does not normalize every abomination they say just because some of us tend to emphatic with transgender people. Another unfortunate case when transgender people harming the image of other transgender people.

As much hell as she gets ,she should not be saying, she will get swift retribution

52 is that sort of age where you don't realise just how much the internet remembers.

I'm around that age and one of the best things about being around that age is that when we were young and stupid, there was far less in the way of recording media around to create a permanent record of the stupid things we did and said.

But now we have an entity - the internet - which has a long memory, so people have come up with a new strategy: the fake apology, which works just enough to get people to turn their ten second attention spans to something else and forget the stupid and ignorant things you wrote on social media. "I didn't mean to cause offence when I compared black people to apes, or made jokes about police officers killing people or broad generalisations about an entire ethnic group. It was taken out of context!"

Sounds like a very selfish and ignorant person who desperately wants the Oscar and will say anything even though it's not sincere.

When your true colors come shining through: Let me apologize for showing the real me. I really want that award!

Hollywood: All is forgiven.

OMG another person speaking their mind. Luckily I don't feel offended and that's all I care about.

Hypocrisy of the far left.

Since 2016 she became a Buddhist and probably changed many of her opinions and ideas.

Floyd died in 2020. Nice try.

I said since 2016, I didn't say what year.

People can apologize for their mistaken opinions.

He'll be thrown under the bus by the Hollywood "progressives" just like everyone else who doersn't toe their "woke" line.

Maybe just as well. He's a man, so he shouldn't be eligible for an actress' award anyway.

Too bad for him! He ticked all the “progressive” boxes and so his movie was practically guaranteed the prize from the “academy”. However, in sick, corrupt, hypocritical Hollywood a movie can’t be judged on its merits but on the woke credentials of its makers.

When he revealed himself as a free thinker the death knell sounded.

I’d have respect for the lad if he told “the academy” where to stick the oscar, but no.

As it has for this idiocy.

"All my life I have fought for a better world. I believe light will always triumph over darkness."

Wow! A Jedi no less.

Another post referred to Floyd -- the Black man killed by U.S. police, whose death in 2020 sparked mass anti-racism protests -- as a "drug addict and a scammer."

All true. What is the problem?

People can apologize for their mistaken opinions.

But he wasn’t mistaken.

Partially true. He was a drug addict. I don’t know about the scammer claim. But he was not killed by the police. Bro overdosed.

Well, the reason police were called because he was trying to use a fake $20 bill so he was definitely trying to scam.

Also no need to apologize. His family didn't care about him til it was time to collect that check.

Netflix and the Oscars are fully engaged in grooming and wokeness. This will be the wokest Academy Award ceremony…since last year.

Grooming is nonsense, but maybe you shouldn't have declared war on the woke if you didn't want it to explode.

You want to use real words? That's like saying "the most slowest" or "more stupider"

No. He was murdered. The officer pleaded guilty, was found guilty by a jury, convicted on all charges and is currently serving a 22 year sentence.

Everybody knows you know this already.
