Alfie- don't take it from us Russians, the Americans have spoken. Viewership for Golden Globes down 62%. Viewership for Grammys down 53%. It is obvious Hollywood appeals to only a very narrow group of people in America.

Alfie go woke go broke. Did you not get the Terminator Dark Fate message or the Ghostbusters female reboot? The best actress, actor and director should be chosen by merit not color quotas. Where are all the Indians in Hollywood? They're 1/8 of the worlds population yet I don't see black people cheering for them to take their parts!

Thought that folk from Manchester were finally being treated as equals in these woke times.

But things haven’t got that far....

Don't think Mank will be popular in Japan.

"Mank" was "Meh". They already did the story before, and much better, with RKO-281 way back in 1999. Oh well, people only have five minute memories these days...by the way, when is the fifth reboot of Spiderman set to start? lol

"Diversity quotas" in place of truly the "Best in X" without fear or favor. Sigh. So glad to see the Oscars picking nominees just as Dr. King would've wanted them to do: "based on the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin".

...Oh, wait...never mind.

This whole article is about race and gender and "diversity", as though story-telling and cinematography are hardly relevant. Most Best Pictures winners that I have seen recently leave me thinking "that's it?" They were all decent movies at least, but now "wow" movies one would expect for picture of the year.

For crying out loud, just give everyone a participation trophy & call it a day!!!

Just sad; a movie should be judged on its own merits, not if it checked off a diversity checklist. What if the movie featured an all-black cast? Or an all-Asian cast? That's not diverse in and of itself either.

Filmmakers should just make what they want and not worry about making their movies into a United Colors of Benetton ad.

Ask Asians how diverse Hollywood is.

But, anti-Asian sentiment aside, Hollywood award shows are a waste of time. Recent Grammy’s were the least-watched in history.

Having a bunch of virtue-signaling White elites trying to tell honest, hard working Americans what to do is not something many look forward to.

Looks like the Russian lad's made himself a new sock puppet account. This is so 2020 it's embarrassing, mate. Trump lost and the crackpots have all slithered away. Didn't you get the meemo?

A good movie yet slim chances to win in the current climate with little regard for authenticity. - A modern B&W movie, about ‘a certain location in a certain past era’. Surprisingly, the director, producers, screen writers, etc. are taking great risks of being cancelled by not having ‘a more diverse’ cast.
