“It’s a good idea for him to keep a tight lip and say what he’s going to say when he has that big platform of the Oscars stage,”

You just know C. Rock is going to say something. Perhaps they should've got Chris Tucker to co-host. It would be a riot.

How about this, don't make it a political scene and laugh if the jokes are funny and not if they aren't. As far as diversity goes, how about not trying to shove your viewpoints (Hollywood liberals) on the rest of America if you are not ready to practice them yourselves.

You know you're gonna get quality jokes blasting all regardless of colour

What I find hilarious is how Black stand-up comedians always joke about how Black men like dating white women. It's Black history month, but what do they do? Date a white woman.

Meh, please have Ricky Gervais host again, he really doesn't hive a hoot about anyone.

As for Rock, he has to walk a fine line on Sunday between going too far or not going far enough

LoL. As long as he doesn't freak-out like Kramer did during his notorious racist rant.

“Making jokes at their expense is going to show they’re aware there is a problem. But he can’t go for the jugular,” said Montgomery.

Gervais did.

I hope he puts on white cold cream before he steps on stage. Sort of the opposite of Al Jolstene (sp). It would help to make people more comfortable and definitely make for a good laugh.

Wc626 That's what comedy is. Using stereotypes in a hilarious way to sensitize people without making them uncomfortable or feeling denigrated. Chris knows his craft he will handle it professionally as usual.

I like Chris Tucker but he is a different type of comedian than Chris Rock. Chris Rock is more of go for the jugular type of comedian and Tucker is funny but also starts going into some singing or dancing routine. He is more in line with Billy Crystal. I am actually surprised Kevin Hart is not doing it since he seems to be everywhere.

Watching the Oscars is for little old ladies with nothing better to do.

Remembering his stint as a movie director in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", I think he is the best choice to host this year's Oscars. Academy, prepare to be skewered!

As far as diversity goes, how about not trying to shove your viewpoints (REPUBLICANS) on the rest of America if you are not ready to practice them yourselves.

Yeah, that is what you should have said cause the republicans do that same thing all the time.

Ricky Gervais's comment summed it up best. When asked if he was nervous about failing onstage, he replied something like, "I might be... if I cared."

That's why he's a great host. He doesn't worry about who he might offend - and the people who live in the Hollywood bubble badly need to be offended.

People still watch the oscars?
