Overrated

Not even close and most definitely well-deserved.

No one deserves to be a “billionaire” with so much hunger and poverty in the world. Most don’t pay their fair share of taxes.

Wrong, in a capitalist society he should be allowed to make however much money as he wants. He is and has provided songs and music and is known and shared throughout the world. Merchandise, TV programs toys accessories, he absolutely should rake in the money. Poverty will always be with us, nothing we can do about it, that will never change. That entire Socialist idea of handouts is one reason why a lot of people with money don’t want to help others in their time of need. You want change, institute certain policy changes, create programs that help people get off the street, make government assistance limited, there are many things that you can help do better to encourage and motivate people, but non-stop handouts, won’t work long term.

Most don’t pay their fair share of taxes.

Right, we pay for them.

I agree with Wallace. I think it’s obscene one person having so much when many have so little. It makes me so cross.

Why? What is wrong with having money? I should get paid for my services, skill and expertise, that was my entire point of getting an education and I should limited based on some people that hate the rich? Just stupid, I would never apologize for having wealth. I worked my rear off and I most definitely deserve it.

Nowt wrong with making money bruv, however when we see chaps like the ghastly Bezos exploiting people who get peanuts while he has so much money, any decent person would realise there is something wrong.

I actually agree, Paul is just a musician, Bezos is just money hungry, he does provide a lot of job opportunities but the working conditions are very bad and he could rectify a lot things, but he’s one of those guys that think if you quit, then I’ll find another person tomorrow and that is not right. Make as much money as you want, but you need to properly take care of your people. That’s why I love Dana White, he kept and paid his people throughout the pandemic and even when they couldn’t perform. They made money and he’s still making money. He’s just loyal to his people. I’m loyal to my staff as well, no matter what. Loyalty is everything.

People on here criticizing McCartney for being so rich are presumably just as angry for Taylor Swift achieving that much or more, and comparatively overnight. Well, are you?

While you applaud both for their success?

Well, don’t you?

A defensible point.

Good to see the UK government finally bowed to pressure to close the loopholes used by the tax-dodging super rich.

Only to a limited point though. Much more to be done.

A defensible point.

Absurd is what it is.

Good to see the UK government finally bowed to pressure to close the loopholes used by the tax-dodging super rich.

And more reason why the super-rich in other countries often go to the US where they don't have to worry about getting wiped out by a Socialist government to help fund their over-bloated entitlement system.

Only to a limited point though. Much more to be done.

Praise God, I don't live there.

What he did when he was with The Beatles was incomparable, but after that he was so-so. Nevertheless, he became a billionaire and though I admire quite a few artists more than him, he was a Beatle. Good for him becoming a billionaire. No one says much about the multi-billionaires so to put him down as bad because he is seems odd.

Are there any rich people here with a view on closing loopholes for the super rich?

It's a positive aspect of society when someone like Paul McCartney becomes a billionaire, isn't it.
