Amy Jaffe, 69, was at home about 30 blocks north when she saw the announcement on Instagram. “I thought: I can do this,” Jaffe said before the show. “I put on jeans, grabbed a coat, called a Lyft.”

Jaffe has seen McCartney many times before, including with the Beatles in 1964 in Forrest Hills, Queens. But she was still incredulous, smiling and shaking her head: “I don’t actually believe it.”

An 8-year-old girl went to the Beatles concert in 1994 and remembers it.

Tickets were sold only physically at the venue, one per person. All were snapped up within about 30 minutes.

I'd like to see tickets sold like this again for all show even big concert arena ones. None of this lottery stuff.

This is how the Who, Ozzy and Rolling Stones tickets were sold in the beginning of the 80s.

Spending the night partying and sleeping in the parking lot waiting for the tickets to go on sale was part of the excitement of it all.

Wow. And he opened with one of my fave songs of his Let Me Roll It. Would've loved to have been there. What an experience it must've been for those in attendance.

Music legends like Sir Paul are not for everyone.

Not everyone is into fine dining or fine cars, fine wine and not everyone is into musical legends, each to his own.

Not everyone is into fine dining or fine cars, fine wine and not everyone is into musical legends, each to his own.

"With the turning pages of passing time, not all that ages, ages as wine. 'To each his own' — indeed! And yet, some truths persist, some we forget."
