Paul McCartney, 71, will kick off his first Japan tour in 11 years at Kyocera Dome in Osaka on Nov 11. The tour is part of McCartney’s “Out There!” world tour which began in May.

Besides Kyocera Dome, the former Beatle will perform at Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome on Nov 15 and at Tokyo Dome Nov 18-21. All concerts are sold out.

Nico Nico News will show a Paul McCartney Concert Tour special "festival" from Sunday night. As part of the festival, it will stream the Kyocera Dome concert live and show McCartney's newest music video from his Oricon music chart-busting album "New," with the music video "Queenie Eye," featuring cameos from the likes of Johnny Depp, Kate Moss and many other A-list celebrities. Also planned is the Japanese debut of the new documentary "Something New." A subtitled preview for the "Beatles Live On Air at the BBC Vol.2" album will air during the festival.

Meanwhile, Hankyu Travel Agency is staging an exclusive promotional event coinciding with the tour by opening a Beatles-themed "Eight Days Cafe," near the concert venues in both Osaka and Tokyo.

The tour is shaping up as an epic week. Promoters said concert equipment for McCartney was transported on two cargo planes to Japan last month.

No doubt they CHECKED all his luggage and guitars WELL when he arrived.

When he sang at the Olympics his voice was pretty weak. As much as i admire him as one of the greatest song writers of the 20th century I think it's time to hang up his guitar and let his hair go grey...

DeDe Miura & Sushi - How much would it take to part with your ticket?

Serrano - I have an S ticket, not arena seat, but on the 2nd level - it cost Y16,500... hmmmm I would sell it for Y75,000. How's that?

DeDe Miura - Looks like I'll not be attending Paul's concert. I once paid a scalper $60 to see a Heart concert ( excellent seat on the 1st level ) but the original price was around $12, ha ha! Enjoy the concert or whatever you do with the Y75,000 if you sell it!

Paul only got released from jail long ago on the pot charges because he had his people ask demand that Senator Ted Kennedy at the time use his connections and Senate power to get top Japanese officials to release Paul. All other detaines had to stay in jail b/c they had no Kennedy to rescue them. Boo on Paul. You shoulda done yr time like everyone else. what are you, a VIP? smile: break a leg, mate!

With the money he has, and the age he is, I think he should be paying us to listen to him!

I find it a bit annoying when people say that aging rockers should give it up. What do you expect them to do? Sit at home with a cardigan, slippers and venture out to Sunday morning mass? Keep on going for as long as people want to see you and your body is up to it. @It's Me As for Bon Jovi, they should give it up not because of age, but because they are bollocks.

I think all the while ageing artists can perform, fine. But if you`ve heard him recently you may think it is probably time. Same with the Rolling Stones. And Bon Jovi. And many others.

Let`s be honest, in Beatle-obsessed Japan people would pay 20,000 yen to see Paul McCartney, whether he sang or not.

So yes, I think Sir Paul would do better to stay at home and count his GBP700m. I personally won`t be adding to that pile of cash this time around.
