Former Beatle Paul McCartney will be coming back to Japan in April, playing three concerts at Tokyo Dome on April 27, 29 and 30.
McCartney, 74, made the announcement in a surprise video message during NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" program on New Year's Eve.
McCartney last performed in Japan in 2015, when he played five concerts, including one at the Budokan, his first appearance there since the Beatles' 1966 concert.
The April gigs are part of McCartney's "One On One" tour, which he kicked off in the U.S. last year.
Tickets range from 14,000 yen to 18,000 yen.

Friends have seen the show in the US and reviewed it favorably. My guess is all three shows will sell out.

I suppose if you were an original Beatle fan you must be pretty old, which is perhaps why they go to see a geriatric performer who really can't sing anymore. His performance at Queen Elizabeth's jubilee celebration quite a few years ago was absolutely awful. He reminds me of Frank Sintra who should have stopped singing when he was on a high....the same applies to Paul McCartney!

****Michael Hooper. You obviously know nothing about music! Think about all the great acts, if they stopped when they were in their 20's we would have to listen to ? We saw Paul and his incredible band in Vancouver last summer not only did they do a great show but a 3 hour great show. How many new acts do that or even have enough material to do one hour. So I suggest you buy a ticket and go see for yourself.

The codgers on here who are trying to argue that these veterans provide a better form of entertainment are probably right in some respects only because they know there is nothing left for them except the faded dream of the people who keep paying to see their concerts. I am neither a codger or a veteran. Music has a time and a place like all fine art and wine. Old bag, mirror-licking slags like madonna, unfortunately don't get it. If you are that good then history will remember you kindly.
